Cabin Classes

Choose from three cabin classes aboard SWISS Airlines:

Economy Class

Seats in Economy Class have 81 cm / 32 inches between them. They are fitted with individual screens that feature a selection of films, TV shows, audio and games. Menu items are healthful and flavourful, with alternate choices for most dietary restrictions.

Business Class

Seats in Business Class have 152 cm / 60 inches between them. Seats feature large screens, laptop adapters, USB ports and iPod ports. Rest in comfort in seats that fully recline to a bed, or to 13 degrees, depending on the aircraft. Choose from a gourmet menu and wide selection of wines.

First Class

Seats in First Class have 211 cm / 83 inches between them. Think of this cabin as your living room in the sky, with armchair, footrest and table. The armchair transforms into a bed using your handset. Enjoy a light snack or seven course gourmet meal whenver you wish, plus an array of fine wines and liquers.


Checking In

SWISS Airlines gives you three options to make your check-in as easy for you as possible.

Airport Check-in: The traditional method of checking in, head to an airport counter staffed by SWISS representatives, or check in at most major train stations in Switzerland.

Advance Online Check-in: Simply go online to the SWISS website and check-in up to 24 hours before your departure. You can also print your boarding pass from the Internet or have it sent to your Smartphone.

Electronic Kiosk Check-in: Look for the SWISS Airlines signage on a self-service electronic kiosk for efficient check-in.


Checked Baggage

Economy Class passengers are permitted one piece of baggage, not exceeding 23 kg / 50 lbs.

Business Class passengers are permitted two pieces of baggage, not exceeding 64 kg / 140 lbs total.

First Class passengers are permitted three pieces of baggage, at 32 kg / 70lbs maximum each or totalling no more than 96 kg / 210 lbs.


Claimed Baggage

Economy Class allows one piece of hand luggage, maximum 8 kgs, 55x40x23 cm or under. Items like purses and pillows are allowed as additional items. A fee applies to a greater number of luggage pieces brought into the cabin. Depending on the route and aircraft, there may be an increased permissable amount of carry-on baggage pieces.

Business Class and First Class allow 2 pieces of carry-on luggage, not exceeding 8kg with dimensions 55x40x23 cm or under.
