Video of the Week: Digital Diary of Italy

Friday, May 11th, 2012

7 Artists. 7 Days. 7 Videos. One amazing country. The team at Can't Forget It{aly} imported some of the most creative minds around the world to participate in their Digital Diary project. From young photographers, to animators, these seven artists presented their impression of Italy in a completely subjective way through real-life experiences and real time travel stories. The group of seven artists all under the age of 35, shot up a storm in off-the-beaten-path corners of Italy’s Basilicata region in the south, (located in what might be considered the “arch” of the heel). I absolutely loved this whole concept and had to share the promo video with you:

Video of the Week: Bled, Slovenia

Friday, April 27th, 2012

One of my favourite travel video bloggers to follow is a couple who run a website called As We Travel. Nathan and Sofia recently embarked on a train journey across Europe and documented their experience. I loved this video of their time spent in Bled, Slovenia and felt this one was worth sharing. Sometimes enjoying an epic landscape view can mean a bit of hard work to get there, but these two travellers prove that the view is definitely worth the climb:

With less than 100 days to go until the London Olympics, we had to spotlight this fantastic city. With the city still recovering from the massive celebration of the wedding of Price William and Kate Middleton, and the 2012 Olympic games fast approaching, everyone has an eye on the UK's Capitol, including David Hubert, who put together a video using over 3000 photographs from his latest trip to the bustling, beautiful city.

Video of the Week: Riding the Powder Highway

Friday, April 13th, 2012

As the ski and snowboard season comes to an end, I had to give one last ode to snow. Having recently spent some time in the beautiful Kootenay Rockies region of BC along with my fellow Flighties, we decided to document our experience riding the BC Powder Highway. From Fernie to Revelstoke, we strapped on the GoPro and had to show you how sweet these mountains really are:
