Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios Jamaica is nothing but exceptional all the way. If you are looking for a peaceful and luxurious haven away from the hustle and bustle of life, this is your place. This resort is a smaller boutique style hotel, with gorgeous flowers and furnishings throughout the lobby and outside. The pool is small but that is only because the beach is the place to hang out; stand still for only a moment and someone will help set you up on the beach with a towel, chair and umbrella.

The staff will also provide you with a small blue flag to wave when you are in need of a beverage. This hotel is all about service. I promise that nobody could ever be disappointed at this hotel.

The food at both restaurants is better then anything I have ever had. The more formal French restaurant-Le Papillion was exquisite. Everything from the plates we ate on, to the wines that were recommended to us each meal were nothing short of incredible.

I would highly recommend this hotel however one thing to note is that this property is extremely low key. There is nothing to do at night but sit quietly and have a drink. There is a bit of entertainment over dinner but by 11pm there is not a soul to be seen. This hotel is really for those who want peace and quiet, but still want to be pampered and spoiled.
