Bryant Tilston joins the Flight Centre travel blog with some great ski and vacation tips for another Travel from a Kid’s Perspective. In this post Bryant writes about Killington Resort and Mountain in Vermont and includes one of his favourite restaurants and ski runs he highly recommends. Over to Bryant -

So, I am sitting here in my dad’s office on bring your kid to work day and my dad asked me if I wanted to do a blog for Killington Resort. If you like to ski I highly suggest you ski Killington Mountain in Vermont. There are so many fun hills for all different levels of skiing.

We stayed at Mountain Green condos, they were so much fun! In the main building there is a store/deli/bakery. If you go there one thing you should try is their delicious pizza that you can order and come back to get it when it’s ready. Another fun thing there is that you can rent movies to watch back at your condo. There were so many fun things to do such as arcade, pool and sauna. Every day you can just catch a quick shuttle bus right to the bottom of the mountain, take the chair lift up and just ski.

If you are ever hungry for a sugary snack at the hill I highly suggest you get a delicious waffle from the Waffle Cabin at the bottom of the hill. They are a great snack and taste so great!

For nice and easier hills at Killington I suggest Great Eastern, Juggernaut and Great Northern. These hills are nice, easy and long. Some more intermediate hills that I suggest are Gateway, Bear Claw and Header. All of these hills are great. They are all really fun, not so hard hills. I hadn’t really done many black diamonds but one of my favorite black diamond was East Fall. This hill is really fun because it drops down into the valley before coming out by the gondola. Over all my favorite hills to have fun on are the glades, the runs are called Squeeze Play and Timberline the terrain park. If you want to just have fun getting air hang out in this section. Along the hills there are photographers that take action photos of you just skiing or if you’re getting air of the ramps. Then you can go online, see them and buy them. These hills are located on the north side of the hill. The gondolas are great at Killington; there are so many great views and things to see. You are always in awe with the views.

There are many great restaurants around Killington. One of my favorites was Baja Burrito. It’s a lot of fun there with a fire place, a room to hang out and great food!

Overall there are so many fun things to do at Killington Resort in Vermont!

You completely captured the fun of Killington — well done! And I agree, every east coast skier needs to get there!

Thanks for writing this up! I am not a skier, but I too enjoyed the five days I spent there… the views are wonderful, there are interesting towns nearby to explore and tours too (try the Cabot cheese factory tour!). The weather in mid-March was sunny and warm, but with snow still on the peaks. There was something for everyone in our large group, and it was fun deciding which restaurant to eat in each night. Kick back and relax and enjoy it, even if you’re not on the ski hills!

Hey! Mr. B., you told it like it is and was… and your Bah Bah and Dedo had fun watching and participating as well. The picture of you flying through the air is great
