Flight Centre Blog Takes Flight!

March 19th, 2009 by Gregg Tilston

I think it is safe to say that as travelers we all love to share our holiday stories, videos, and photos and it’s great to hear from others who have had an incredible vacation experience because of our recommendations.

So with that, the Flight Centre crew is super excited to kick off the new blog! Wow, do we have big plans in store including; exciting videos from exotic vacation destinations, guest travel bloggers, and vacation tips that will inspire the mind and help you plan the perfect holiday.

Whether it’s backpacking through Europe, finding the freshest powder in New Zealand or discovering the best greasy burger joint in Manhattan, we look forward to going on this journey together. It really is together because we encourage, heck we are counting on, your comments and suggestions. Who knows, perhaps you will want to publish a blog post with exciting travel stories of surviving a snake pit, escaping ‘bad guys’ by skiing off a cliff with parachute attached, or your lifelong goal of participating in the Running of the Bulls. Maybe you have some amazing video footage from La Tomatina Festival that you want to share with the entire world? This is your forum with the intent of creating a community of travelers, by travelers, for travelers.

There are a number of ways to connect with us including; Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, FriendFeed, and many more to come. We will add to the list as they become available. You can also subscribe to our RSS feed for all the updates.

The ultimate goal is to help each other discover secret hideaways, stumble on little known restaurants, share unreal experiences, avoid travel challenges; really, plan the ideal holiday getaway. Let’s get to know a lot more about each other along our travels and through the conversations we will have here on the new Flight Centre blog.

Wow! This sounds like a great idea. Videos of vacation spots, not just photos that could have been touched up, or taken eons ago. I guess we’re all been burned by that in the past. Looking forward to seeing more!

Hey Lynne, HUGE thanks for being the first comment on Flight Centre’s first blog post! The Spring Skiing http://cli.gs/pEn256 post from yesterday has an awesome video from East Wall at A-Basin.
