We are aware that Air Canada may experience a strike on Tuesday June 14th at 12:01am EDT. In the event that this happens, Air Canada along with our travel agents are committed to ensure all customers flying during this time are looked after. For any questions regarding this matter we encourage you to contact one of our travel agents at 1 866 317 4792.
In the event of a strike, Air Canada will continue to resume a regular schedule and flight updates will be sent out via e-mail/mobile if you sign up to receive flight notifications alerts. Should a strike occur, they have non-unionized staff trained and available to ensure a continued operation. They will be on-hand at airports to assist you with things such as using the self-serve check-in and baggage-tagging kiosks.
The following steps will help you avoid long wait times at the call center and queues at airport check-in kiosks, and expedite airport processes:
*Check in online or on your mobile device at any time within 24 hours of your flight’s departure.
*If at all possible, avoid travelling with checked baggage
*Give yourself extra time to check-in and board your flight during this time
