Our friends at WestJet made a pretty big announcement this morning, and we just had to share it with you. In an effort to help Canadians save money on their European adventures, they will now be offering new non-stop service to London from 6 Canadians cities for as low as $199! Yes, you read that right.
The new non-stop route to London Gatwick will be available from Calgary, Winnipeg, St. John’s, Vancouver, Edmonton and Toronto beginning May 6, 2016.
The fares start as low as $199 one-way from St. John's, Newfoundland including taxes and fees. Passengers departing from Toronto will be able to fly for as low as $249, Winnipeg from $279 and Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver from $299. Connecting flights will also begin at only $20 to connect from select airports into the Canadian airports with WestJet services to Gatwick.
The catch? You need to scoop up these deals by tomorrow (Sept 16th, 2015) for travel from May 6 to June 28, 2016. Search and book your flights to london online here.

The new services are made possible by WestJet’s recent acquisition of four new Boeing 767-300 aircraft that allow the airline to expand its offerings to include long-distance flights.
These wide-body planes have a range of approximately 9,500 kilometres or 11 hours and hold a capacity of 262 passengers. In contrast, the existing fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft have a range of just 5,667 kilometres and can carry only 174 passengers.
