Enter to WIN your trip for FREE contest (the “Contest”) – December 2011
Eligibility
Contest is open to residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence as of December 1, 2011. The following persons and their dependents are not eligible to enter or win: employees of The Flight Shops Inc. dba FLIGHT CENTRE, GOGO Vacations, FC Associates, Corporate Traveller, Discount Cruises, Stage & Screen, Intrepid My Adventure Store, FCm Travel Solutions and their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertisers, sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of each of the above.
The Prize
There is one (1) prize available to be won, consisting of payment by the Sponsor of the winner’s Flight Centre booking associated with their Contest entry, up to a maximum value of three thousand dollars (Cdn.) ($3000). Prize consists of value of booked travel only and no difference, if any, between $3000.00 CDN and the value of the winners booking will be awarded to the winner. If the winner entered without making a Flight Centre booking but rather submitted an essay, that person will be eligible for a prize of a three thousand dollar ($3000) CDN. Flight Centre travel credit. Prize travel must be completed by December 31, 2012. Subject to availability and blackout dates apply. No prize substitutions are permitted except by Flight Centre as may be necessary due to unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or offer. All incidental expenses associated with collection of a prize are the responsibility of the winner.
How to Enter
To enter simply complete the December Win Your Trip for Free entry (“Form”) online at www.flightcentre.ca/contest when making your booking (“Booking”). Bookings made online at Flight Centre websites (FlightCentre.ca, FlightCentre.com) are not eligible for contest entry. All entrants MUST confirm their compliance with these official contest rules by ticking the box on the entry form.
No purchase necessary. To enter without making a booking, you may submit an essay of at least 200 words about your travel experiences (“Essay”) to contestessays@flightcentre.ca along with your full name, daytime phone number, mailing address, email address and the statement “I have read, understood and agree to comply with the official Contest rules”.
LIMIT one entry per person per booking regardless of the method of entry or number of bookings made.
The contest begins on December 1st, 2011 at 6:00 am PST and entries close December 31st, 2011 at 11:59 pm PST (the “Contest Closing Date”). The draw will be made within approximately one (1) week of the Contest Closing Date. The selected entrant will be contacted within 7 days of the draw via phone or email.
Terms and Conditions
Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Flight Centre whose decisions are final. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification from these promotions. Flight Centre reserves the right to permanently disqualify any person it believes has intentionally violated these rules. By entering, each participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Flight Centre, which shall be final. By participating in any Flight Centre giveaway, each participant agrees to release and hold The Flight Shops Inc. dba FLIGHT CENTRE and the employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives of Flight Centre, its advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the giveaways; or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy. Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant will be required to sign a declaration/release form agreeing to the terms of this paragraph and to the use by the Flight Shops Inc. dba FLIGHT CENTRE of their name, city and Province for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation. Neither Flight Shops Inc. dba FLIGHT CENTRE, GOGO Vacations, FC Associates, Corporate Traveller, Discount Cruises, Stage & Screen, Intrepid My Adventure Store, FCm Travel Solutions and their affiliates, nor its sponsors, advertisers, agents, or representatives, are responsible for telephone, network, electronic or computer failures of any kind, or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, incomplete, garbled, delayed by computer transmissions, lost, late, damaged, ineligible or postage due; or for any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the giveaway. Flight Centre reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or cancel any giveaway at any time if a computer virus, bug or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper play. All entries become the property of Flight Centre and will not be acknowledged or returned. Any trademarks or copyrighted material used in this promotion are the property of the respective owners and are used herein for identification purposes only. No purchase necessary.
By accepting a prize, the winner/s agrees to Flight Centre and its designees’ use of their name/s and /or photograph for advertising and publicity purposes without compensation. Flight Centre reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest if fraud or technical failures compromise the integrity of the contest as determined by Flight Centre in its sole discretion.
Flight Centre is not responsible for any lost, late, stolen, illegible, incomplete, mutilated, misdirected or postage due rule requests any associated information as a result of prize claim/s. Proof of identification and eligibility will be required before claiming the prize. This includes Name, Address and Birthdate.
Flight Centre will not be held responsible for telephone, technical, network, online, electronic, computer hardware or software failures of any kind, misdirected, stolen, incomplete, garbled or delayed Internet/e-mail computer transmissions on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or on the website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest.
Frequency of Entries, Use of Multiple Email Addresses & Posting in Public Forums
Only one entry per Form or Essay will be counted. Selection of Winners and Notification Winners will be selected from the list of eligible entries for any given competition/giveaway. The decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner must respond, and confirm their mailing address, within 7 BUSINESS days from the date of the notification attempt, after this it will be assumed to be invalid and a new winner will be selected. If any prize notification, or any prize, is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner from the pool of entries.
Winners assume all liability for any damages caused or claimed to be caused by participation or by any prize, and release The Flight Shops Inc. FLIGHT CENTRE, GOGO Vacations, FC Associates, Corporate Traveller, Discount Cruises, Stage & Screen, Intrepid My Adventure Store and FCm Travel Solutions from any such liability. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to use winner’s name, city and Province (e.g. Jane Doe Vancouver, BC) for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation. Flight Centre guarantee that the personal details, including email address, of entrants will not be publicized, rented or sold - unless express permission has been given by the entrant.
Your Chances of Winning
Chances of winning are determined by the total number of Forms completed online at www.flightcentre.ca/contest and Essays submitted to contestessays@flightcentre.ca. All provincial and local laws and regulations apply. In the event that any giveaway is compromised in any way, electronically or otherwise, that is beyond the control of The Flight Shops Inc. dba FLIGHT CENTRE, GOGO Vacations, FC Associates, Corporate Traveller, Discount Cruises, Stage & Screen, Intrepid My Adventure Store and FCm Travel Solutions, we reserve the right to withdraw the giveaway and award the prize from among entries received prior to the date of the withdrawal.
