Vision

Flight Centre, and its corporate division Corporate Traveller, are responsible corporate citizens and will have a no net impact on the climate from their own operations and will continue to assist its customers to minimize their carbon footprint.

In an effort to maintain our reputation as an industry leader in the marketplace, the company is dedicated to demonstrating its commitment as an enviromnentally responsible company.

We have implemented two major environmental programs as part of the our Green Policy including a comprehensive Offsetting Policy and an Office Environmental Policy. Flight Centre has retained the services of CPS Carbon Project Solutions Inc., to measure its carbon footprint for its last two fiscal years.

Comparison of Scope 1 & 2 Emissions Between 2008 and 2009 (Fiscal Year)

The Carbon Footprinting process carried out by CPS Carbon Project Solutions Inc. and Flight Centre calculated an annual emission of 1,100 tonnes of CO2e from natural gas usage and electricity for FY2008. The Carbon Footprinting process carried out by CPS Carbon Project Solutions Inc. and Flight Centre calculated an annual emission of 938.227 tonnes of CO2e from natural gas usage and electricity for FY2009. This reduction of 161.773 tonnes of CO2e is equivalent to a 14.71% drop in carbon emissions from Scope 1 & 2 sources at Flight Centre between FY 2008 and 2009.
