US Airways is a major commercial carrier based out of Tempe, Arizona. It is a member of Star Alliance, a group of more than 30 airlines that allows frequent flier members to share benefits among its partners.

The airline currently operates services to more than 200 destinations in 28 countries. US Airways completes 3,130 departures every day, with Canadian flights from Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Toronto and Vancouver International Airports. Its major hubs are located in Charlotte, North Carolina; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Phoenix, Arizona; and Washington D.C.

In terms of fleet size, US Airways operates 339 total Airbus, Boeing and Embraer jets on its mainline services, with 294 other aircraft for Express service.

Business class airfares are also known as tickets to the Envoy Class at US Airways. Those who book flights in this cabin can enjoy a personal video screen with various movies, games and television shows available on-demand, reclining seats and laptop power outlet, as well as free food and beverage.

Passengers on domestic first class flights have 35 to 38 inches of space between seats and feature the same personal TV screens as those in business class. The airline offers free wine, beer and spirits to its guests, as well as cookies, chips and nuts. Meals are available at no cost on flights longer than 3.5 hours, as well as blankets and pillows for complimentary comfort.

Economy class flights feature up to 33 inches between seats, which, on newer Airbus models, are equipped with Panasonic entertainment systems. Features in this class include leather seating and laptop power outlets. Non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary for all classes and meals are available for purchase. However, meals are offered for free on transatlantic flights.

Frequent fliers of US Airways can enjoy the perks of the Dividend Miles program, in which they can build up their miles to earn bonuses, priority check-in and other benefits. In addition to all airlines affiliated with Star Alliance, members can also build and redeem their miles with Air One, Bahamas Air, Hawaiian, Qatar, Royal Jordanian, Tam and Virgin Atlantic Airlines.

There are five membership levels of Dividend Miles, based on the number of miles or segments traveled through one calendar year - General, the basic level where all members begin; Silver Preferred, requiring 25,000 miles or 30 segments; Gold Preferred, 50,000 miles or 60 segments; Platinum Preferred, 75,000 miles or 90 segments; and Chairmans Preferred, 100,000 miles or 120 segments.
