Canadian vacationers can use WestJet flights to North American destinations for their travel needs with planes flying out of nearly 30 cities throughout the country.
Based out of Calgary and Toronto, WestJet flies out of cosmopolitan areas such as Vancouver and Winnipeg but also out of lesser populated areas such as Yellowknife and Charlottetown.
Destinations across North America serviced include Hawaii, Florida, New York City, the Caribbean, Mexico and Bermuda.
The airline´s frequent flyer program offers passengers the opportunity to earn miles when they fly which are used towards purchasing discount flights later.
The airline´s seat selection program allows passengers to pay for a chair they choose. Customers who do not choose a seat board in a first-come, first-serve fashion. Seats can also be picked without a fee within 24 hours of departure once customers have checked-in.
In order to accommodate families with small children or those who need extra help, pre-boarding is available for free.
Live broadcast TV is available on the seat back of each chair on WestJet´s fleet of Boeing 737s. Channels include CTV Calgary and Toronto, Star!, A&E, Food Network Canada, the Discovery Channel and TSN, Canada´s sports network.
On flights of two-and-a-half hours or longer, movies and specially chosen television programs are available to buy.
Customers can buy food on flights via credit card or they can buy "fly ´n´ buy" vouchers at the airport kiosk. An array of sandwiches are available on flights over two-and-half-hours while an assorted cheese tray is offered on flights lasting more than three.
On shorter flights to Canadian cities, snacks such as crackers are available for purchase. A snack mix, cookies, soda, juice and hot drinks such as coffee and tea are complimentary on flights 45 minutes or longer.
Since there is no divide between first and economy class flights, all seats are the same, barring exit row seats. On average, seats have 31 inches of space between rows.
