Nago Cherry Blossom Festival - Okinawa, Japan

Isle of Wight Festival - Isle of Wight, England

Montreal Jazz Festival - Montreal, Canada

This summer music celebration features 11 days of non-stop entertainment with more than 3,000 artists from 30 countries in the heart of downtown Montreal.

Calgary Stampede - Calgary, Canada

Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2012, it attracts over one million visitors per year and features the world's largest rodeo, a parade, concerts, agricultural competitions, chuckwagon racing and more.

La Tomatina Festival - Bunol, Spain
August 29

The world's most famous food fight consists of 45,000 tourists hurling 130,000kg of over-ripe tomatoes until the streets are ankle-deep in tomato sauce.

Oktoberfest - Munich, Germany
