Las Vegas - What happens in Vegas...

There is never a dull moment in Las Vegas - the most dynamic city on earth! Be entertained by world-class performers, party the night away at elaborate night clubs and ultra-chic lounges, go wild with unique animals habitats and get an adrenaline fix on the many thrilling roller coasters. Everything happens in Vegas!

Entertainment

There's a good reason why Las Vegas is called the 'Entertainment Capital of the World'.

Since its Rat Pack days, Las Vegas has been inextricably associated with legendary shows and entertainers. Say "Las Vegas" and it's likely that showgirls in elaborate headdresses and Elvis impersonators will come to mind.

Today, the Las Vegas entertainment scene still has plenty of its classic glamour, but it has evolved to include so much more. In addition to the iconic Las Vegas entertainment staples, the destination offers a lineup of award-winning magicians, Broadway caliber productions, world-renowned concert headliners and unique-to-Las Vegas production shows.

What's New?

Cirque du Soleil's newest show, Michael Jackson - The Immortal World Tour will be at Mandalay Bay during the month of December 2011. This rock concert arena type show will be the largest-ever music show touring North America and around the world for four nonstop years with a permanent home opening in Las Vegas in 2013.

Celine Dion has returned to Las Vegas to begin a three-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with a brand new show, centred on classic Hollywood movies and stunning visuals and features 31 musicians, including a full orchestra and band.

Due to the overwhelming success of the critically acclaimed MUS.I.C., the worldfamous dance crew, Jabbawockeez, has been extended at Monte Carlo Resort & Casino through November 2011. Described as an audio-visual story of inspiration brought to life through the harmonization of sound and movement, Jabbawockeez has developed a one-of-a-kind style that has been incredibly influential in the dance community, effectively changing the way people view dance around the globe.

Nightlife

From elaborately themed nightclubs that stay open until dawn to the new wave of trendy, ultra-chic lounges sweeping the Strip - visitors know when they step out in Las Vegas for the night, it will be an experience they won't forget. Here are some of the hottest places to be for extraordinary nightlife:

Chateau Nightclub & Gardens, Las Vegas' newest nightlife venue, opened at Paris Las Vegas in March. Spanning more than 45,000 square feet and two-stories, the high-energy nightclub and Parisian gardens brings a new dimension to Vegas nightlife with its premium centre-Strip location, breathtaking terraces and lavish decor.

Surrender Nightclub, located at Encore, is a 5,000-square-foot nightclub, which opens to the outdoors. The 60,000-square-foot Encore Beach Club is connected and features 26 cabanas, eight, two-story bungalows, a restaurant and poolside blackjack and craps.

Pete's Dueling Piano Bar brings nightly celebrations and unparalleled entertainment to Town Square. Each night, four piano entertainers take the stage in two-person rotations to perform hits from every era imaginable on two baby grand pianos. All four players join together on stage multiple times throughout the evening for even more excitement as the venue erupts into singing, laughing and dancing.

At XS, the nightclub at Encore, after-dark impressario Victor Drai combines an outdoor pool environment with the sizzling club atmosphere. Destined to be the gold standard in Vegas nightlife, the club's design is inspired by the sexy curves of the human body and embraces the European pool and island bar it envelopes. The dance floor at XS is highlighted by a ten-foot rotating chandelier.

Owned in part by Celine Dion, Shaquille O'Neal, Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf and Pure Management Group, PURE Nightclub is Caesars Palace's newest nightclub. The 2-storey nightclub is 36,000 square feet, boasting three separate experiences. The main room features oversized beds, three bars and a VIP area that overlooks the dance floor, not to mention a fantastic balcony with an incredible view of the Las Vegas Strip.

Rain is the Palms' nightclub, which features lavish special effects throughout the 3-storey venue. In addition to fog, water and lightning, streams of fire intermittently shoot out above the dance floor. Venture upstairs to the 55th floor where guests will find ghostbar, the popular hotspot that has been featured in numerous reality shows including E! Entertainment's 'Party at the Palms' and MTV's 'Real World: Las Vegas'. Guests at ghostbar enjoy its cozy atmosphere, which is complemented by a spacious balcony with a panoramic view of Las Vegas. With the opening of the Palms' Fantasy Tower, the hotel added yet another nightclub, Moon. Located at the top of the tower and featuring a retractable roof, the nightclub boasts panoramic views of the city below as well as an outdoor patio, private VIP room and exclusive table service.
