Majestic Colonial  

The Melia Caribe Tropical offers seven pools, including two large, freeform pools with swim-up bars; two activity pools; one children’s pool; two health spas with pools—one containing a spa treatments and the other a fitness center with cabins for massages (surcharges)—and both offering men's and women's saunas, steam rooms, and hot-water spa tub. The resort offers a disco and two theaters presenting nightly shows featuring the resort's talented dancers.

Note: Guests must be at least 18 years to check in; children 13 years and older are charged as adults. Children ages 5-12 pay special rates. Guests should check in at the Tropical Lobby and Reception Area.
Rollaway beds are not available; cribs (infant beds) may be available and should be requested at the time of booking; fees may apply.

Wedding & Receptions Packages

Tropical Fairy Tale
Up to 24 in-house guests • Symbolic ceremony consisting of a blessing performed by a non-denominational Minister (with no legal validity) • The couple must be at the resort a minimum of 48 hours prior to the symbolic celebration • Wedding coordinator • Tropical Fairy Tale locations for ceremony set-up • Tropical Fairy Tale Bridal bouquet and boutonnière for the groom • Recorded music played during the ceremony • Up to five bottles of sparkling wine for the ceremony toast • Tropical Fairy Tale Ceremony and reception set-up • Private dinner at a banquet hall or outdoor location (up to 24 in-house guests) • In-room bottle of sparkling wine or cava in couples room upon arrival • 10% discount on Wellness Centre for the couple (not including boutique products) • Late check-out for the couple (up to 4pm) • Turn down service 

The Reception
One hour post-ceremony cocktail party to include house bar and cold hors d’oeuvres • Imperial style seating for the reception in selected location • Three course dinner with set menu of your choice • Wedding cake

Symbolic Weddings & Renewal of Vows Packages

Melia Wedding Package
Up to 12 in house guests • Symbolic ceremony consisting of a blessing performed by a non-denominational Minister (with no legal validity) • The couple must be at the resort a minimum of 48 hours prior to the symbolic celebration • Bridal bouquet and boutonnière for the Groom • Recorded music played during ceremony • Domestic sparkling wine for the toast (up to three bottles) • Meliá Wedding Package Cake (up to 12 in-house guests) • Meliá Wedding Package Ceremony set-up • Dinner reservation in restaurant on the ceremony night (up to 12 in-house guests, special requirements and set up are subject to surcharge) • One bottle of domestic sparkling wine in couples room upon arrival • 10% discount on Wellness Centre Services for the couple (not including boutique products)

Tides Package
Up to 24 in-house guests • Symbolic ceremony consisting of a blessing performed by a non-denominational Minister (with no legal validity) • The couple must be at the resort a minimum of 48 hours prior to the symbolic celebration •Wedding coordinator • Tides Ceremony set-up • Bridal bouquet and boutonnière for the Groom • Recorded music played during the ceremony • Sparkling wine for the wedding toast (up to five bottles) • Tides wedding cake • Tides ceremony and cocktail party set-up • One hour postceremony Cocktail Party to include cold hors d’oeuvres • Dinner reservation in a selected à la carte restaurant on the ceremony night (up to 24 in-house guests, private or separate areas with special set up will be subject to availability and surcharge) • Inroom bottle of sparkling wine or cava in couples room upon arrival • 10% discount on Wellness Centre for the couple (not including boutique products) • Late check-out for the couple (up to 4pm) • Turn down service

Ceremony Upgrades

Upgrade to a Civil Ceremony
The Melia, Tides, Tropical and Fairy Tale packages are an additional US $540. The Civil Ceremony is legally binding and requires the couple be at the resort a minimum of 48 hours prior. Ask our wedding coordinator for all paperwork required in order to meet the Dominican Republic Government specifications. Note that civil ceremonies can take up seven full business days to confirm. 

Upgrade to a Catholic Ceremony
The Melia, Tides Tropical and Fairy Tale packages are an additional US $540. This charge is for the ceremony only, no legal fees are included. The couple must be already legally married in their country and be at the resort a minimum of 48 hours prior to the ceremony. Ask our wedding coordinator for all paperwork required in order to meet the Dominican Republic Catholic church specifications.
