At all of Melia Caribe Tropical’s à la carte restaurants, men are requested to wear long pants, collared shirts, and closed shoes at dinner; reservations are required 24 hours in advance.

La Gondola - This popular spot plays four roles, offering an Italian buffet for lunch, Italian à la carte selections at dinner, fast foods from late evening until early morning, and a continental breakfast.

Hokkaido - This Japanese place features à la carte teppanyaki dinners, with guests seated around grills while chefs cook to order.

Le Gourmet - Serving international favorites such as Tuna in Dill Sauce and Duck in Orange Sauce, Le Gourmet is a fine-dining, à la carte restaurant.

Los Atabales - This restaurant serves a breakfast buffet and an international dinner buffet every night with no dress code.

Turey Grill - This beachfront place serves breakfast and lunch buffets and grilled foods such as burgers and chicken all afternoon.

Agora Grill - Like Turey Grill, Agora Grill is located on the beach and serves breakfast and lunch buffets and grilled foods such as burgers and chicken.

La Pagoda - This Chinese dinner restaurant specializes in popular à la carte choices such as Peking duck and wonton soup.

Ma Maison - This à la carte dinner house specializes in dishes such as Lobster Thermidor and Beef Filet in Sour Cream and Cognac.

Capri - Food from the sea such as seafood crepes and grilled shellfish is the attraction at this à la carte restaurant.

Los Panchos - This Mexican à la carte restaurant has a dinner buffet and made-to-order taco grill.

American Grill - American-style à la carte restaurant.

El Guarapo - Dominican à la carte restaurant.

Gabi Club - Restaurant and lounge in a private pool area serving international cuisine. Open exclusively to guests staying in Royal Service rooms. À la carte service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Open from early morning to late evening.

The resort includes nine bars, including one in each lobby (Caribe and Tropical), swim-up bars in both large pools, and a bar serving the casino and adjoining sports bar/disco that remains open until late night.

Recreation
The majority of on-site recreational activities and facilities described below are included in the room rate at Melia Caribe Tropical All Inclusive (scroll up to the All-Inclusive details section for more information).

Golfing is available on site at the 27-hole Cocotal Golf & Country Club. This par 36/72 World Class Championship Golf Course, designed by José Pepe Gancedo, offers professional golf lessons (surcharges) at the Sol Meliá Golf Academy. Calloway golf equipment is available for rent at the pro shop. Golf carts are mandatory (surcharge for rental). Golf balls are for sale at the pro shop. Green fees are assessed according to the length of stay:

3–4 nights: two complimentary green fees per person

5–7 nights: three complimentary green fees per person

Upgrade to a Civil Ceremony
The Melia, Tides, Tropical and Fairy Tale packages are an additional US $540. The Civil Ceremony is legally binding and requires the couple be at the resort a minimum of 48 hours prior. Ask our wedding coordinator for all paperwork required in order to meet the Dominican Republic Government specifications. Note that civil ceremonies can take up seven full business days to confirm.

Upgrade to a Catholic Ceremony
The Melia, Tides Tropical and Fairy Tale packages are an additional US $540. This charge is for the ceremony only, no legal fees are included. The couple must be already legally married in their country and be at the resort a minimum of 48 hours prior to the ceremony. Ask our wedding coordinator for all paperwork required in order to meet the Dominican Republic Catholic church specifications.
