Platzl Hotel  

The Platzl Hotel is situated in the historic Old Town of Munich between the picturesque Marienplatz, the legendary Hofbräuhaus, the Viktualienmarkt and the Bavarian State Opera. It is the ideal location for both business and leisure travellers. All major sights in the centre of town like the world-famous Glockenspiel or the Cathedral, exclusive shopping on Maximilianstrasse as well as the lively pedestrian area between Marienplatz and Karlsplatz are within a short walk from the hotel.

Restaurant Pfistermühle - Enjoy the historic atmosphere of medieval Munich in one of the most beautiful locations in the historic city centre. In the lovingly restored vaults of the dukes mill dating back to 1573 they are offering upscale Bavarian cuisine and fine Franconian wines alongside famed and freshly brewed Ayinger draft beer from the families brewery. In the Pfistermühle there are four vaults with, altogether, more than 95 seats. Thirty additional seats are available in the beer garden in Summer.

Platzl Bar - During the day the hotel bar is a well frequented place for informal meetings with business partners. Take a seat and with the paper of your choice or kick back with a cup of coffee after a tough day of shopping. In the evening we recommend you unwind with a fresh draught beer or an exotic cocktail.

Recreation - The Moorish Kiosk:

Fascinated by the magnificence of the Orient, King Ludwig II purchased the Moorish Kiosk, which he had first seen nine years prior during his visit to the World Fair in Paris, in 1876. He had it set up in the park of the Linderhof castle. 

The recreation area on 5th floor of the Platzl Hotel is furnished based on this model and includes a sauna, turkish steam bath, a solarium, as well as a separate room with fitness equipment all free of charge to the guests.

The Junior Suite - The spacious Junior Suite faces the quiet inner courtyard. The suite is with its comfortable lounge area and bed room contains two flatscreen TV with international programs and radio. LAN technology enables quick communication via the internet. Moreover, you will find air conditioning, minibar, hairdryer, sound-proof windows, a safe with power supply that is big enough for your laptop, and an ISDN telephone with personal voice mail system.

The Bavarian Suite - On approximately 45 sqm the walls, floor, and ceiling were paneled with 150 year-old spruce and oak woods applying the best Bavarian craftsmanship. The suite is furnished with two TVs, radio, three telephones, laptop connection LAN or WLan, air conditioning, electric shades, safe and minibar. The suite displays a Teissendorf-style cabinet that is a replica of the original at the Bavarian National Museum. The bathroom has been designed with pink Portogallo marble providing it with a unique elegance. Other bathroom features are bathrobes, a make-up mirror, towel warmer, hairdryer and a scale.
