Day 1-2 ARRIVE SALT LAKE CITY
Welcome to Salt Lake City, capital and the most populous city in the state of Utah! On arrival at Salt Lake City International Airport, board your airport transfer service to your tour hotel. At 6 p.m., gather at the hotel with your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception and light buffet.(Welcome Reception)

Day 2-3 SALT LAKE CITY - JACKSON
Join an orientation tour of Salt Lake City seeing historic Temple Square, then travel across the Oregon Trail and visit historic Jackson, Wyoming. Later, continue to your lakeside lodge overlooking Jackson Lake and the stunning peaks and glaciers of Grand Teton National Park.(Full Breakfast)

Day 3-4 JACKSON - YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
Explore Grand Teton National Park, stopping to admire the incredible views at Jenny Lake. Then enter Yellowstone, established in 1872 as the world’s first national park and known for its unique geothermal activity, spectacular landscapes and abundant wildlife. Join a local guide for an informative stroll through Yellowstone’s Upper Geyser Basin.(Full Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 4-5 YELLOWSTONE SIGHTSEEING
Walk among the geysers in Yellowstone National Park and watch them erupt. See colourful bubbling mudpots and observe Old Faithful shooting water over 120ft in the air. View free-roaming herds of buffalo, deer, elk and bear in their natural habitat. Then experience the roar of the Lower Yellowstone Falls as they thunder down the steep canyon walls.(Full Breakfast)

Day 5-6 YELLOWSTONE - BILLINGS
Depart Yellowstone and travel through the Shoshone Canyon and Absaroka Rocky Mountains to the historic Wild West town of Cody. Visit the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, built in honour of one of America’s great western legends. Head onward to the old cattle town of Billings, Montana. This evening, your Tour Director offers you a selection of restaurants for your dining pleasure.(Full Breakfast / Dine Around)

Day 6-7 BILLINGS - CUSTER STATE PARK
Relive “Custer’s Last Stand” at the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument and learn all about Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse and the history of the Indian Wars. Keep a lookout for pronghorn antelope while continuing across the great high plains to the Black Hills of South Dakota. In Deadwood, join Kevin Costner’s Original Deadwood Tour and explore this once lawless town with a local expert. Relive the days of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane, who made this town famous during the gold rush of the 1870’s. Continue on to Custer State Park, famous for its beautiful landscape and abundant wildlife. Look out for buffalo, deer and elk, or stroll through the pristine pine forest. After dinner, relax on the porch and take in the serenity of this amazing place.(Full Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 7-8 BLACK HILLS EXCURSION
Start the day at Crazy Horse Memorial, dedicated to all Native Americans, and the world’s largest sculpture. Visit Mount Rushmore National Memorial, where the heads of Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt dominate the Black Hills. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.(Full Breakfast)

Day 8-9 CUSTER STATE PARK - CHEYENNE
Leave South Dakota to travel across the grasslands and high plains of Wyoming. Stop at historic Fort Laramie, a former frontier outpost of the U.S. Cavalry built along the Oregon Trail and witness to the sweeping saga of America’s western expansion in the 19th Century. Continue to the Wild West town of Cheynne, one of the great railroad junctions in America. Enjoy an orientation tour before arriving at your hotel.(Full Breakfast)

Day 9-10 CHEYENNE - DENVER
Travel south and climb high into breathtaking Rocky Mountain National Park, across the Continental Divide and over Trail Ridge Road to follow the beginnings of the great Colorado River (weather permitting). Arrive at the Mile High City of Denver and view the city’s highlights on an orientation tour before arriving at the hotel. In the evening, toast the culmination of a fantastic adventure at a celebration dinner.(Full Breakfast / Celebration Dinner)

Day 10-11 DEPART DENVER
Your tour ends with a departure transfer to Denver International Airport. For the ultimate western experience, this itinerary also forms part of America’s Magnificent National Parks, and can also be combined with the Wonders of the American West on selected departure dates.(Full Breakfast)
