Day 1 Guilin/Yangshuo
A fusion of Western and traditional Chinese rural style, Yangshuo beckons. Stay in a hotel just minutes from the scenic Li River.

Days 2-3 Cooking School
Visit a market filled with fresh produce before heading out to the nearby village of Chao Long. The hands-on cooking classes are held in a traditional mudbrick farmhouse, with expert local guidance. Learn about classic southern Chinese cuisine - teachers will reveal their techniques before the tables are turned and participants have a go. Slice, dice and chop your way through traditional recipes and enjoy the fruits of your labour. A cookbook with recipes and photos of the dishes is included, so that these mouth-watering Chinese delicacies can be recreated at home. After class, why not hire a bicycle and head out to explore the rice paddies surrounding Yangshuo.

Days 4-5 Yangshuo/Guilin
Complete the Yangshuo cooking adventure with a tour through the surreal karst scenery. Cycle or drive among traditional rural scenes and enjoy lunch at the home of a local guide. Relax in the West Street cafes, or enjoy a final spot of bargain hunting in the markets, before bidding farewell to the beautiful Guangxi Province.
