Day 1-2 DEPART CANADA
Depart from your home gateway city, bound for Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Day 2-3 ARRIVE HO CHI MINH CITY (2 NIGHTS)
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon! A complimentary transfer is provided to the tour hotel where you enjoy a private check-in with a Welcome Drink. Your Tour Director will be on hand to greet you and answer any questions you may have about the exciting days ahead.

Day 3-4 HO CHI MINH CITY SIGHTSEEING
Travel outside the bustling metropolis to explore the incredible subterranean complex of the Cu Chi Tunnels. Then tour a local rubber plantation and visit a lacquerware studio to learn from the artisans about the country’s longstanding artistic traditions. Back in town, embark on an orientation tour of one of Asia’s fastest-growing urban areas. Day 4-5 HO CHI MINH CITY - MEKONG RIVER CRUISE (7 NIGHTS)
In the atmospheric riverside village of My Tho, board the River Saigon and set sail along the Mekong, passing coconut groves, brilliant green rice paddies and mango trees. Transfer to a traditional flat-bottomed sampan to enjoy a cruise through the Cai Be district with its floating market. Disembark for a guided tour of An Kiet House where you learn about traditional Vietnamese architecture. Then it’s just a short walk to visit a factory that makes rice paper and delicious coconut candy. Day 5-6 CRUISING THE MEKONG RIVER
Cruise through the narrow canals of Sa Dec for a close-up view of life on the river. Visit a factory where craftsmen create bricks and tiles, then take a guided tour of an elegant, turn-of-the-century house. Return to the ship for a relaxing lunch before visiting the island of Cu Lao Gien, home to one of the oldest cathedrals in Vietnam.(Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

Day 6-7 CRUISING THE MEKONG RIVER
Explore the vibrant port of Chau Doc with its floating markets and brightly colored fishing boats. And immerse yourself in the spiritual side of Vietnam at holy Sam Mountain, which attracts pilgrims from all over the country. Back on board, celebrate your Mekong River cruise with dinner and maybe some stargazing before you retire.(Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

Day 7-8 CRUISING THE MEKONG RIVER
Early this morning arrive in the capital city of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. Delve into some of the country’s darkest days at a somber memorial to the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng, a museum dedicated to preserving the history of the Cambodian genocide. Move from the darkness of the past into the now-peaceful streets of Phnom Penh on a relaxing cyclo ride. Visit the splendid Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace and the National Museum, which houses some of the finest artifacts from the great city of Angkor.(Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

Day 8-9 CRUISING THE MEKONG RIVER
Head north from Phnom Penh along the Tonlé Sap River to the lovely riverside village of Kampong Chhnang. Enjoy a short walking tour of the fish market and other attractions before reboarding the River Saigon.(Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

Day 9-10 CRUISING THE MEKONG RIVER
Get a taste of rural Cambodian life today as you visit the small village of Chong Koh, where you are welcomed into a private home as well as the primary school. Then go even further off the beaten path in the tiny town of Angkor Ban where you get a glimpse inside some traditional Khmer homes and tour a small Buddhist monastery.(Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

Day 10-11 CRUISING THE MEKONG RIVER
This morning, ascend to the hilltop temple complex of Wat Hanchey for views over the Mekong and a traditional blessing from the orange-robed monks. Then climb the hills of Phnom Pros, for beautiful views, and Phnom Srey, home to temple ruins and some inquisitive monkeys. Continue your explorations at the 11th-century temple of Nokor Bachey. Back on your ship, relish a festive Royal Cambodian Highlight Dinner.(Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Highlight Dinner)

Day 11-12 SIEM REAP (3 NIGHTS)
Bid farewell to the Mekong this morning as you disembark and transfer to Siem Reap, gateway to the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor. Take an orientation tour and enjoy some time at leisure. This evening, gather in the lovely courtyard of your hotel for an Apsara performance followed by a delicious alfresco Highlight Dinner.(Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)

Day 12-13 ANGKOR WAT SIGHTSEEING
Spend the day amid the glory of the Khmer Empire. Begin at the magnificent temple complex of Angkor Wat, the national symbol of Cambodia and one of the most impressive religious structures in the world. Continuing your guided tour after lunch, you’ll also see the pyramid-temple of Bayon; the Terrace of the Elephants; and the lovely South Gate of Angkor Thom.(Buffet Breakfast / Lunch)

Day 13-14 ANGKOR WAT SIGHTSEEING
Venture into the jungle to see the atmospheric temple of Ta Prohm. Then ascend the mountain of Ta Keo for views over the sprawling Angkor complex; stroll through Preah Khan, which was a Buddhist university; and examine the delicate carvings of the sandstone jewel, Banteay Srei. This evening, celebrate your explorations of Angkor with a lively Highlight Dinner and live entertainment at a local French-Indonesian restaurant.(Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)

Day 14-15 SIEM REAP - HANOI (2 NIGHTS)
After a leisurely morning, head to the airport for your flight to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Spend the afternoon and evening as you like — maybe stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, take in a water puppet show or visit the Hanoi Museum of Fine Arts.(Buffet Breakfast)

Day 15-16 HANOI SIGHTSEEING
On your tour of Hanoi, visit the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, a shrine to one of the country’s heroes. Spend some time in contemplation of One-Pillar Pagoda, an iconic temple built in the traditional style. And learn about the importance of education in Vietnamese culture at the Confucian Temple of Literature. This afternoon, kick back on a private cyclo tour of the lovely, tree-lined streets.
