Day 1-2 DEPART CANADA
Board your overnight flight (not included).

Day 2-3 ST PETERSBURG
Welcome to the glorious city of St Petersburg! Your airport transfers depart from St Petersburg airport at 11:30, 14:30 and 17:00. Meet your Tour Director in the evening for a Welcome Reception with drink and a light meal, followed by time to relax and explore.(Welcome Reception)

Day 3-4 ST PETERSBURG SIGHTSEEING
A sightseeing tour takes in St Isaac’s Cathedral, St Peter and Paul fortress and Decembrist’s Square. Travel down Nevsky Prospekt for views of the Cathedral of Kazan and the Church of Our Savior of the Spilled Blood. See the cruiser Aurora, whose crew signalled the outset of the Russian Revolution. The rest of the day is at leisure.(Buffet Breakfast)

Day 4-5 ST PETERSBURG SIGHTSEEING
Located in the Winter Palace, you are guided through the fabulous collection of the Hermitage Museum, housing paintings and objets d’art, ranging from Egyptian carvings to Impressionist masterpieces. This afternoon you are free to do as you please!(Buffet Breakfast)

Day 5-6 ST PETERSBURG SIGHTSEEING
This morning will take you to Peter the Great’s summer residence which for over 200 years was used for official ceremonies, lavish feasts and formal receptions. Back in St Petersburg, the afternoon leaves plenty of time to shop if you wish. Dinner this evening is a real Russian affair, including traditional snacks like caviar, blinis, vodka and champagne.(Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)

Day 6-7 ST PETERSBURG – MOSCOW
A city of incomparable architectural, historic and artistic interest, St Petersburg is all yours this morning to enjoy as you wish. This afternoon, discover the unique adventure of train travel ‘soviet style’ as you head for the capital. On arrival in Moscow, transfer to your hotel for dinner.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 7-8 MOSCOW SIGHTSEEING
With a specialist guide, explore Red Square. At one end rises the domes of St Basil’s Cathedral, in front of the Kremlin stands Lenin’s Mausoleum, while on the opposite side stands the GUM department store. Walk inside the walls of the Kremlin Fortress to visit one of the cathedrals. Now enjoy time at leisure.(Buffet Breakfast)

Day 8-9 MOSCOW AT LEISURE
Visit one of the Metro stations which Stalin called ‘palaces for the people’. Gain a personal insight into the themes depicted among the marble, mosaics, sculptures and chandeliers. The rest of the day is set aside to explore at your own pace. Tonight at a local restaurant, enjoy good food and wine at a Highlight Dinner.(Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)

Day 9-10 MOSCOW – KIEV
After breakfast you are transferred to the airport for your flight to Kiev, the famed ‘City of Chestnut Trees’ astride the mighty river Dnieper.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 10-11 KIEV SIGHTSEEING
Your sightseeing tour shows you the onion domed churches, Opera House and Golden Gate. At the summit of Vladimir Hill enjoy a panorama over the city. Then via the historic Andriyivskyy Descent to the old Podol district, where craftsmen and fishermen used to live. This afternoon visit the Monastery of the Caves, inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then to the vast Patriotic War Museum centered around the 62-metre Motherland statue.(Buffet Breakfast)

Day 11-12 KIEV – ODESSA
This morning visit St Sophia’s Cathedral, its interior wonderfully decorated with gilded mosaics, frescoes and Holy icons. Then enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Dnieper River. This evening, board your flight to Odessa, a city known for its European character, beaches, green parks and relaxed joie de vivre.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 12-13 ODESSA SIGHTSEEING
Your city sightseeing tour shows you all the main highlights. including the the Vorontsov Palace and the Potemkin Stairs. Walk down the tree-lined Alley of Glory to the Monument of the Unknown Sailor. Afterwards, drive out to the nearby village of Nerubaiskoye to visit a section of the catacombs, used as an underground base by the local partisans during WWII.(Buffet Breakfast)

Day 13-14 ODESSA – KHERSON
Journey from Odessa through the fertile countryside to Kherson. Upon arrival a city tour includes the ruined fortress which helped protect the town from Turkish invasion, Museum of Local Lore and the Arts Museum, John Howard’s tomb, City Tank T-34 monument and the City Ship monument on the Dnieper River embankment. The afternoon is at leisure.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 14-15 KHERSON – KURPATY
Transfer from Kherson, via Simferopol, Crimea’s capital, to your fun loving seaside resort.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 15-16 YALTA SIGHTSEEING
Yalta has been a magnet for the rich and aristocratic since the Tsars began abandoning Moscow to holiday here in the 19th century Starting at Yalta’s seaside promenade, alight the cable-car and enjoy the views as you drift up Darsan Hill to the Mound of Glory Monument. Visit the Alexander Nevski Cathedral and see the former Ministry of Defence Hotel. Then continue to the house in which the great writer Chekhov lived, now a museum. Also visit Livadia Palace – the site of the 1945 conference that mapped out post-war Europe. Continue to Alupka Palace with stunning elements of Russian, Moorish and Gothic architecture. Round off the day with a drive to the landmark Swallow’s Nest.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 16-17 BALAKLAVA & SEVASTOPOL
Visit the small port of Balaklava, which served as a secret Soviet submarine base for half a century. Overlooking the town is the ruined Genoese fortress and site of the famous Charge of the Light Brigade. Continue to Sevastopol to tour the harbour and see Nakhimov Square. Visit the Panorama Museum - its stunning rotunda centerpiece depicts the story of the defence of Sevastopol in 1855. Return to your resort hotel.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 17-18 KURPATY – SIMFEROPOL – KIEV
Transfer to airport in Simferopol for your return flight to Kiev where you are at leisure. As night falls, you are invited to a celebration dinner at a typical local restaurant, to toast the finale of a wonderful tour.(Buffet Breakfast / Celebration Dinner)

Day 18-19 RETURN TO CANADA
