Day 1: Sydney - Hay
Depart Sydney and travel along the hume
highway via Goulburn and the riverina to hay. enjoy a welcome drink this evening with
your Tour director.

Day 2: Hay - Adelaide
Travel via vast hay Plains and Mildura.
We cross the South Australian border and on to the city of Adelaide. Clients joining
this afternoon (Tour Code: NZDR) will be transferred from Adelaide Airport (flights to
arrive prior to 4.00pm).

Day 3: Flinders Ranges
See the sights of Adelaide on an
orientation tour before we make our way north and sample some local wines at Sevenhill
cellars, the oldest existing winery in the beautiful clare valley. later, travel
through the spectacular Flinders ranges and into Wilpena Pound.

Day 4: Port Augusta
Enjoy time to explore Wilpena Pound,
before we travel through picturesque Pitchi richi Pass to Port Augusta where we will
visit the Wadlata outback centre. Hotel: Majestic Oasis Apartments, Port Augusta.

Day 5: Coober Pedy
Visit Woomera, before travelling to coober
Pedy, the opal capital! visit an underground church and home.

Day 6: Uluru (Ayers rock)
We cross the border into the
Northern Territory and continue to Uluru - Kata Tjuúa National
Park. This evening enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and nibbles as you watch sunset
at Uluru.

Day 7: Kata Tjuta (The Olgas)
This morning you may wish
to join an early tour to view sunrise at Uluru. enjoy a walk into
Muúitjulu Waterhole and stop at the Uluru - Kata Tjuta
cultural centre. This afternoon visit Kata Tjuta. enjoy sunset with a
complimentary glass of sparkling wine, followed by a barbecue dinner under the stars.

Day 8: Kings Canyon
Travel to Kings canyon today. For the
energetic, a guided climb to the canyon rim will be rewarded with magnificent views of
Watarrka National Park.

Day 9: Alice Springs
We travel through to Alice Springs. See
the royal Flying doctor Service, School of the Air and the Telegraph Station.

Day 10: Aboriginal Culture
This morning spend time with a
local Aboriginal guide. you will learn of life and survival of the Arrente People,
including bush food, the search for water and kinship. This will be followed by a visit
to the Alice Springs desert Park. learn about Australia's unique desert marsupials and
reptiles. visit the Nocturnal house and Nature Theatre. This afternoon we travel to
Simpsons Gap, one of the most prominent waterholes in the West Macdonnell ranges, with
its striking gorges and lovely river red-gum scenery. B
Day 11: Tennant Creek
Travelling north we arrive at Karlu
Karlu (devils Marbles). There is time to walk around these precariously balanced
boulders. In Tennant creek we join a guided tour of the historic Battery hill Precinct.
Tour an underground mine
and experience the life of an early miner. enjoy a barbecue dinner at the Battery Mine
centre.

Day 12: Mataranka - Katherine
Visit the historic daly Waters
hotel, before continuing into 'Never Never' country. Stop at the tropical oasis of
Mataranka for a relaxing swim.

Day 13: Katherine Gorge - Kakadu
Join our local guide on an
early morning cruise through Katherine Gorge in Nitmiluk National Park then continue
into Kakadu National Park. cruise on the famous yellow Water Billabong.

Day 14: Kakadu - Darwin
We stop at Bowali visitor centre. The
displays here will take you on a journey through Kakadu's varied habitats and
landscapes. Travel to Ubirr and climb to the top of this rocky outcrop for rewarding
views. This afternoon travel to Darwin and enjoy a sightseeing tour. Hotel: mantra

Day 15: Litchfield National Park
We travel to litchfield
National Park to see Florence Falls and the Magnetic Termite Mounds. dine out this
evening at crocosaurus cove. enter the world of the awesome Northern Territory
saltwater crocodile. See the largest display in the world of Australian reptiles, a two
storey fresh water aquarium, a turtle sanctuary, as well as local Aboriginal art and
culture displays. B HD
INDEPENDENT TOURING DAYS 16-19
Day 16: Darwin 'Free Time'
enjoy a full day at leisure in the
tropical city of Darwin. Take a stroll along the esplanade or relax by the hotel pool.

Day 17: Darwin - The Ghan
Board The legendary Ghan this
morning in Darwin. Upon arrival in Katherine you may like to join an optional town tour
including the School of the Air and the Springvale homestead. return to The Ghan for
the journey to Alice Springs.

Day 18: The Ghan - Alice Springs
Arrive in Alice Springs this
morning before continuing on to Adelaide. B D
Day 19: Depart Adelaide
Enjoy breakfast on The Ghan before
arriving at Keswick Station. you will be transferred to Adelaide Airport to connect
with your onward flight. B
