Day 1 Chicago/Springfield
Explore the 'Windy City', a thriving metropolis on the shores of Lake Michigan. Arrive early to climb the gigantic Willis Tower, sample deep-dish pizza and browse Chicago's excellent collection of modern art.
Day 2 St Louis
A city of culture and history, gaze up at the inspiring 'Gateway Arch' that dominates the St Louis skyline.
Day 3 Branson
Get a taste of vintage Americana in this classic Route 66 stopover. Hoe-down with some country music, stroll the '76 Strip' or munch on a cheeseburger in one of Branson's many diners.
Days 4-5 Oklahoma City
Cross into cowboy country and experience Oklahoma's eclectic mix of city gardens and urban spaces or take an optional visit to the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.
Day 6 Amarillo
Stop by the official Route 66 museum before sitting down for meal at one of Amarillo's' sizzling steakhouses.
