Day 3-4 TOLEDO EXCURSION AND MADRID SIGHTSEEING
Your expert Local Guide takes you on a walking tour of Toledo. Visit the Church of Santo Tomé, home to one of El Greco’s most famous paintings. See the Synagogue and visit a local steel workshop. Return to Madrid to admire the monument to Cervantes at the Plaza de España. Walk across the Puerta del Sol, the city’s hub, and see the magnificent Plaza Mayor.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 4-5 MADRID - CORDOBA - SEVILLE (2 nights)
Driving southwards from Madrid to Puerto Lapice - the town where Don Quixote was dubbed a knight - you arrive in Cordoba. Visit the Mosque of the Caliphs and learn about the influence of the Moors from your Local Guide. This evening, enjoy an authentic Andalusian Be My Guest dinner experience.(Buffet Breakfast / Be My Guest dinner)
Day 5-6 SEVILLE SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Admire the Bell Tower of the Giralda during your expert guided sightseeing tour through the tree-lined streets of Seville. See tiled fountains, pavilions and lush palms in the Maria Luisa Park, renowned for its landscape design. Marvel at Christopher Columbus’ ornate tomb in the cathedral. Take a walk through the Jewish Quarter. Tonight, you might like to watch a fiery flamenco show.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 6-7 SEVILLE - GRANADA
Visit the magnificent Alhambra Palace in Granada with your expert Local Guide. A fine example of Moorish architecture, it was built during the 14th century towards the end of Islamic rule in Spain. See the exotic water gardens of the Generalife, the royal summer palace, once linked to the Alhambra by a covered walkway across the ravine. The views over the town and surrounding hills are spectacular. Tonight, join your travelling companions for a Highlight Dinner of local specialities in a nearby restaurant.(Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)
Day 7-8 GRANADA - VALENCIA
Travel from Granada via the Mora Pass and arrive in Guadix in the northern foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains where you can take pictures of the troglodyte dwellings. See the Bull Ring in Valencia. Admire the architecture of the medieval cathedral, and the Serrano and Quart Towers, which once formed part of the city walls.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 8-9 VALENCIA - PENISCOLA - BARCELONA (2 nights)
Discover the beautiful coastline as you drive north through Peñiscola - known as the Gibraltar of Valencia - to Barcelona. See Gaudi’s architecture during your guided sightseeing tour of the city. Wander along the Ramblas and the Plaza Catalunya. See the magnificent cathedral in the Gothic Quarter, and the labyrinth of streets with buildings dating from the Roman and medieval periods.(Buffet Breakfast)
Day 9-10 BARCELONA FREE DAY TO EXPLORE
Plan your own day of sightseeing in Barcelona. Consider an excursion to Montserrat or perhaps shop in the chic boutiques along Diagonal. This evening join your companions and Tour Director for a special Farewell Dinner with wine.(Buffet Breakfast / Farewell Dinner)
Day 10-11 BARCELONA - CANADA
