Travel through Northern Spain along the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, one of the world's oldest pilgrimage routes. Gothic cathedrals and medieval monasteries make way for calm, rural scenery, where the locals create culinary delights from the freshest of produce. Pass through fertile valleys full of vineyards and admire incredible vistas from the Iron Cross, in the mountain ranges of Leon. Ride through changing landscapes to reach the hulking towers of Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

Day 1 Leon
Arrive early to explore the beautiful gothic cathedral and stroll down the winding narrow streets that make Leon one of the most charming places in Spain.

Day 2 Astorga
Cycle past quaint villages, through the cultivated countryside of Castilla. Cross a stunning medieval bridge and reach the walled town of Astorga, which boasts impressive views of the mountains of Leon.

Day 3 Molinaseca
Gradually climb into the mountains of Leon towards Monte de la Cruz de Ferro. Pass through the vibrant orange stone architecture of Castrillo de los Polvazares on the way to Monlinaseca, which offers stunning views of the surrounding valley.

Day 4 O'Cebreiro
Explore the picturesque town square and intricate monuments of Villafranca before pushing on to the mountain top and the slate roofed black houses of the small village of O'Cebreiro.

Day 5 Sarria
Pass through traditional agricultural villages in Galicia and try the simple gastronomic delights of the area. Visit one of the oldest monasteries in Spain at Samos, before ending the day in Sarria.

Day 6 Palas de Rei
Ride through tree-lined paths to the town of Poromarin and try octopus, the local speciality. Spend the night in Palas de Rei, a town full of the pilgrim spirit.

Days 7-8 Santiago de Compostela
Get the first glimpse of the towers of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela from Monte de Gozo. Wind through the city streets to Plaza del Obradoiro before finishing the cycle at the Pilgrim's Office.
