At Globus first-class, conveniently located hotels, youll always feel welcome and well looked after. They know that excellent accommodations are of paramount importance to your enjoyment on vacation. Globus hotels-many of them through long association with Globus-have mastered the art of handling group check-ins and baggage speedily and balancing the need for efficiency with the desire of each traveler to receive individual attention.

Globus takes extra care to select downtown locations for their independent tours and for longer stays on escorted tours, when your itinerary features days at leisure to explore on your own. When your itinerary allows time only for a good nights sleep between two busy sightseeing days, their expert contractors sometimes sensibly opt for quiet residential areas.

And youll be delighted with their choice of hotels in scenic countryside locations. Wake up to the sound of cow bells, take a morning walk in crisp mountain air or enjoy glorious panoramic views of the majestic Alps or the Norwegian fjord country.

You wont be surprised with any hidden charges when you check out of your Globus hotel. All hotel taxes and tips for restaurant service and baggage handling are included in the price of your tour.

Enjoy premium accommodations; many hotels have satellite TV and pools.

The vast majority of Globus hotels are rated deluxe (D), superior first-class (SF), or first-class (F). In overnight places where there is no hotel in these categories or where their demand exceeds the supply, theyll choose the best available superior tourist-class (ST) or tourist class (TC) hotels.

Most hotels have amenities such as satellite TV, mini-bar, a cocktail lounge, a restaurant, room service and concierge services. Many also have a swimming pool, health club, shops and dry cleaning and laundry services.

Globus hotel ratings follow standards set by the independent Hotel & Travel Index and by national tourist boards. The specific rating for each contract hotel is determined by Globus quality controllers.

Globus reserves the right to substitute hotels listed on the itinerary pages with hotels of equivalent standard. With your Globus travel documents youll receive a list of hotel addresses, telephone numbers and fax numbers for your vacation.

Stretch your vacation value with extended pre- and post-tour room rates.

If you require extra nights at the first and/or last vacation hotel, Globus will make reservations for you at the rates quoted, provided you request them at the time you book your vacation with Flight Centre.

Rates are per person, per night and include room with private bath, breakfast, service charges and taxes. Extra nights are only available immediately prior to or after your vacation.

Every effort will be made to reserve extra nights at the hotel where your vacation stays. If space at the hotel is not available, alternative accommodations will be reserved at a hotel of equivalent standard. When this is the case, the transfer from and to the vacation hotel is at Globus expense.

As hotel space is limited, Globus cannot reserve more than two extra nights before and/or after your vacation, unless they are needed to bridge the gap between two Globus vacations. During particularly busy periods, hotel space in certain cities can become so tight that Globus may be unable to sell extra nights.

Whats for dinner? Save time and money while you savour the local foods.

On Globus vacations, most meals are included. Start each day with a hearty breakfast; at some hotels, it will be a buffet with all the trimmings. When you dine at your hotel, youll enjoy delicious 3-course dinners with choice of entrees.

The meals are carefully planned to avoid the repetition of entrees. Whenever possible, they include dinner at a local restaurant so that you can sample the specialties of the area.

Unlike an airline, Globus cannot process requests for special meals. While some hotels and restaurants may be able to provide for a special diet, such as vegetarian or salt-free food, there is no way for Flight Centre or Globus to guarantee this. Special food may cost extra.

Stretch out, feel the Globus difference, smaller groups means more room.

The length and width of modern motor coaches is standard, prescribed by law. The main difference amongst tour operators is in the number of seats installed and actually sold. While it is customary to install and sell 53 seats, Globus installs fewer seats for extra leg room and limits group size to a maximum of 44 tour members. The extra space contributes enormously to your comfort.
For airport and port transfers in Britain we generally use motor coaches with 53 seats. All coaches are non-smoking and fully air-conditioned.

Never miss a detail; individual hi-fi commentary is broadcasted to each seat.

Each Globus motor coach has upholstered, reclining seats with headrests and individual air-conditioning vents. A high-fidelity sound system broadcasts professional Tour Directors commentary to every seat. Their custom of daily seat rotation gives everyone a variety of vantage points to see the passing countryside and city scenes.

Dancing is reserved for the evening; emergency facilities on most coaches.

Motor coaches in Europe are equipped with an emergency washroom. For transfers and sightseeing in London this amenity is not available. Globus deliberately uses the term emergency washroom, because this facility is not meant to be used regularly in lieu of the restrooms at our frequent comfort stops.
