Monograms own hotel rating system makes hotel selection easy.

To help you make decisions about your hotels, Monograms Tours has designed a rating system. Their ranking of the service, amenities, and décor of each hotel is expressed in buttons, from one to five. The number of buttons accompanying each property indicates the hotels ranking according to the following system:

5 - Hotels in this category are among the finest in your destination and deliver a high level of personal service. The grounds, facilities, and service are exceptional, and the décor is upscale, with most featuring unique, original designs. Rooms include high-quality amenities.

4 - These superior properties deliver a high level of service and hospitality. Public spaces and rooms feature stylish décor and a true emphasis on comfort. Amenities, facilities, and grounds are all upscale.

3 - A full-service hotel with a marked improvement in furnishings and décor as well as good, dependable amenities and services. All have restaurants, with most serving meals throughout the day and offering in-room dining and at least one bar area. Many feature a fitness center.

2 - These mid-range properties offer a simple level of comfort and service. They feature affordable rooms with basic décor and a few added amenities. Most have a restaurant that serves continental or full breakfast and sometimes additional meals. Usually, in-room dining is not offered. Most National Park accommodations are included in this category.

1 - A property for the budget-minded traveler that fulfills the basic needs of comfort. Normally, these hotels have limited services and amenities. Most do not have a restaurant on site but are usually within walking distance of dining.

With Monograms, you never have to worry about getting from point to point. Whether its by plane, train, rail, bus, or car, they take care of all your transportation needs. Theyll get you around and make travelling easy. Say youve just spent three wonderful days in city "A" but now you need to get to city "B".

You get a train schedule from the front desk and try to figure out the best time to travel. Where is the train station anyway? And youll need transportation to get you to your transportation. Or, what if youre in Asia and you need a flight to get from Tokyo to Beijing? All of this sounds extremely time consuming with much room for error.

But not with Monograms; when you book a Monograms package, all intra city transportation is included in your package price, not only for a great value but for a lot less hassle while you are on vacation.

Most Monograms vacations feature a half-day sightseeing and orientation in each city, so you dont miss the must-see sights. You can also personalize your vacation by adding other activities and excursions, either before your go or on-trip, that will make your getaway exclusively yours!

Breakfast is covered, lunch and dinner are yours to discover.

Start your day off the right way with breakfast, which is included on your Monograms getaway to Europe, Asia, South Pacific, and South America. Breakfast is a buffet, full English, full Irish, full Scottish, or American (B)-the type of breakfast youll enjoy is listed on each itinerary page, or just ask your Flight Centre consultant for full details. North American itineraries do not include breakfast, however, your Local Host can assist in recommending local favorites when meals are not provided or you can simply explore on your own!

In general, lunches and dinners are not included in your Monograms vacation. In Europe, China, Asia, South Pacific, and South America your Local Host will have a number of suggestions for favorite nearby restaurants-after all, one of the best ways to learn about a foreign culture is to eat like the locals do. In North America, ask the concierge at your hotel for suggestions. On some travel days in remote regions, on cruises, and at some resorts Monograms will include lunches and dinners. Ask your Flight Centre consultant for full details or check the meals section in the brochure for a list.

Unlike an airline, Monograms cannot process requests for special meals. While some hotels and restaurants may be able to provide for a special diet, such as vegetarian or salt-free food, there is no way for Flight Centre or Monograms to guarantee this. Special food usually costs extra. Please ask your Local Host for assistance.

On a Monograms independent vacation, theyll help you feel right at home in your destination-even if its your first time visiting there! Before you leave youll receive a trip planner, complete with key information. Then, once you arrive at your destination, friendly, professional Local Hosts are on hand to provide you with a destination guide, to offer hints and recommendations to help you get the lay of the land, and to ensure you have what you need to make the most of your time.

Flight Centre Consultant - Flight Centres consultants are there to help you with every step of your vacation from decisions to destinations and back again. We know what youll need to know; so rest assured, you wont miss a step because well provide the knowledge and handle the details while you dream about your trip.

Local Host - Whats the best public transportation for getting around town? Is there a good restaurant within walking distance of the hotel? What day is the museum closed? Your Monograms Local Host can tell you and is someone you can count on to give you a warm welcome, to share local insights and suggestions for getting off the beaten path, and to answer your vacation questions as they pop up.

Service On Call - In place of a Local Host, Monograms United States & Canada vacations provide you with a toll-free number for use throughout your journey-24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Customer service representatives are on call for anything you need to make your vacation worry free.

Airport transfers; a friendly face to welcome you and show the way.

For added ease on your worry-free vacation, Monograms also offers arrival and departure airport transfers for purchase. When you touch down in your destination, theyll get you to your hotel; then, at the end of your vacation, theyll make sure to get you to the airport for your return flight home.

Transfers are by scheduled shuttle, minivan, private cars, or taxi. Flight details should be sent apart from other correspondence or payment and must be received no later than five weeks prior to departure. Time and terminals limitations are noted on the itinerary pages of the brochure or simply ask your Flight Centre consultant for full details. Transfers will be provided only if confirmed by Monograms. Look for confirmation of your transfer in the travel documents.

Monograms Tours charges you the list price for your first vacation in the year, but for every additional Monograms vacation you take in the same year, you pay $35 under list. This discount does not apply if one of the vacations is a Monograms single city stay.
