Qantas Online Check-In

Made easy for any internet enabled computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone, online check-in is today's most popular method of checking-in for your flight. If you are departing with Qantas within 24-hours, use the online check-in tool to locate your reservation by passenger name and booking reference.

Guests can then select or change seats and even print their own boarding pass, or opt to have it sent to a mobile device as an SMS message for display at airport security stations. Boarding passes can also be collected at the airport from a Qantas check-in agent, along with Qantas luggage tags for any checked bags.

Online check-in is only available for Qantas operated flights. If you are travelling on a codeshare flight, please check-in with the operating carrier.

Qantas Check-in via the Qantas App

You can also manage your reservation, including checking-in for your flight, using the handy Qantas App. Download the ultimate Qantas travel management tool and get access to flight status notifications, travel reminders and other important extras, all in one place.

Mobile check-in provides travellers with a digital boarding pass they can display on their smartphone when going through airport security and to receive up-to-the-minute information on the status of their flight, updated gate and baggage carousel details, the best traffic routes to and from the airport and more.

Mobile check-in via the Qantas App is reserved for flights within Australia only. International passengers must use online check-in or visit a Qantas airport check-in desk 3-hours prior to departure.

Qantas Airport Check-in

Or you can just head to the airport! Airport check-in is available to travellers in all classes of service, on the day of travel up until 45-minutes before departure for domestic flights and 90-minutes prior to departure for international travel. Guests may use a self-service kiosk (in Australia only) or visit a Qantas check-in counter for service.

All checked-in passengers will receive a boarding pass and have their luggage tagged and checked before clearing security. Passengers are responsible for having their e-ticket, a valid passport for travel, as well as any necessary visas for the check-in process.

If you are travelling on a codeshare flight operated by a carrier other than Qantas, please check-in with the operating airline.

All unaccompanied minors must check-in at the airport.
