WestJet Economy

WestJet customers can also upgrade their class of service to WestJet Plus (Premium Economy), change any pre-selected seats, e-mail their boarding pass and pay for any excess baggage fees before getting to the airport at this time. Advance check-in alleviates long airport line-ups and allows WestJet travellers to simply drop any checked bags off in an express line and head straight through security to their gate.

Other ways to check-in for your WestJet flight is by downloading the WestJet mobile app and follow the steps to check-in, by using a self-service airport kiosk (may not be available at all airports) or by checking-in directly with WestJet staff at the airport. Advance check-in has never been easier with these four convenient options.

Please note that when using online or mobile check-in for international flights, WestJet will, by law, require your passport details, including passport number, place of issue and expiry date in order to issue a boarding pass. If you hold citizenship other than Canadian or your trip requires a travel visa, online or mobile check-in may not be allowed and you’ll be instructed to check-in, in person, with the airline directly.

Remember, once you’ve checked-in and a boarding pass has been issued for your flight, your reservation is taken over by WestJet, whether you’ve booked with a travel agent or online with any other company other than WestJet. Any changes you wish to make to your departing flight at this time must be handled by the airline directly.
