A Trip of a Lifetime in New Zealand

FOx Glacier

Flight Centre’s Tammy Chircop travels to New Zealand to explore the island, and go on some wild adventures bungee jumping, extreme river boating, glacier hiking and more. From facing her biggest fears to experiencing adrenaline rushes, we turn it over to her to hear what she has to say and why she can’t wait to go back:

New Zealand is the place to go if you want to face fears and feel an adrenaline rush like never before. It is unexplainable why you feel the need to jump of a bridge or off a plane or go on a helicopter and climb a Glacier but it happens. The top three things to do in New Zealand for me were Bungee Jumping, Shot Over River Boat and the helicopter ride with a Glacier Hike:

Bungee Jumping

This was such a crazy experience which left me smiling for days! This coming from a girl who has a fear of heights and definitley does not like to jump off of bridges. I would recommend everyone do this; it shows you that fear is just a mental thing and you can do anything you really want to. You might say: but you just bungee jumped! The truth is, it was more then that, and you can’t explain it until you do it! So I say when everyone else is jumping of a bridge in New Zealand, you should too 🙂

The Shot Over River Jet

What can I say? FUN FUN FUN! It was such a crazy adrenaline rush and can’t explain how they drive those boats but they are really good at it. This was probably the most fun I have had in my life and I couldn’t stop laughing and screaming. You don’t want it to stop, you just want to keep going around and around!

Just imagine being in a boat that is just racing through canyons and you think your going straight into a wall but then you turn and you keep on going; it is so much fun, and an absolute must. The scenery is so beautiful  you can’t capture it on camera. You just have to experience it for yourself!

Fox Glacier

FOx Glacier - New Zealand

The third and most exciting thing I did in New Zealand was go taking a helicopter ride to a beautiful and pristine part of Fox Glacier. This was honestly the best experience of my life; the beauty and the power of this glacier is mind boggling. Walking through ice caves and seeing their true beauty reminds me of why nature  is so incredible.  I suggest taking the helicopter because it brings you to an untouched part of the glacier which makes it that much more beautiful; it was so natural and untouched it was amazing!

Overall whatever you do in New Zealand you will have a good time, you will see and do things that you never thought you would do, all while having the time of your life.
