Air Canada rouge

Air Canada rouge

Air Canada calls its newest subsidiary, Air Canada rouge, “the stylishly affordable new leisure airline.” Fittingly, this Canadian airline will offer its first flights on the first of July, Canada Day.

Air Canada rouge

The inclusion of the word ‘stylishly’ is most deliberate. Style is a hallmark of the airline, from the stylized lower-case writing of ‘rouge’ to the greatly publicized Air Canada rouge uniform.

The new airline falls into Air Canada’s growing leisure category, along with the well-established Air Canada Vacations. Together they offer vacation travel to different destinations in Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic and Jamaica, and to the European cities of Athens, Edinburgh and Venice. The carrier strives to let Canadians enjoy significant cultures and sunny climates more often thanks to its economical pricing.

Air Canada rouge’s fleet consists of Airbus A319 and Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. Passengers may choose from three cabin classes: rouge, rouge Plus and Premium rouge, all of which offer new ergonomic ‘slimline’ seats for comfortable travel, with the Premium rouge class enjoying the most spacious seating.

Air Canada’s award-winning magazine En Route is included in seatbacks as well as inflight entertainment on European voyages. AC rouge flights to Europe also include meals and non-alcoholic drinks free of charge. Short-haul Caribbean flights offer snacks, meals and beverages at a nominal price. Passengers in rouge Plus and Premium rouge get additional benefits like complimentary meals and beverages and a wider range of entertainment options, depending upon destination.

As a rouge passenger, you can use aircanada.com for advanced check-in, or use the AC airport kiosks for quick, convenient checking in. Air Canada top tier members flying rouge may still access Maple Leaf lounges.

Air Canada rouge benefits from Air Canada’s 75-year long history of safe and reliable aviation, along with a fresh approach to air travel in terms of value and service.
