Good news travellers! Air Canada has added non-stop service from Vancouver to Brisbane that will take off in June 2016. The ever-expanding airline will offer 3 flights per week, year-round, with flight times anyone well-travelled will appreciate. The Beoing 787-8 Dreamliners will depart Vancouver at 11:45pm on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and land at 7:15am (two days later), allowing passengers to maximize their time in destination, or use the extra time to deal with jet lag. While Air Canada does currently offer non-stop service to Sydney, Australia, passengers whose final destination is Brisbane know that an extra 1.5 hours travel time tacked on to 15.5 hours of flying is not ideal.
Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and the third most populous city in Australia. Many of its tourists are drawn to it by its ideal location on the east coast and close proximity to the Great Barrier Reef.
Tickets can be purchased as of July 16, 2015, with 3 classes of seating available. This includes upgraded in-flight entertainment for all to enjoy, and a very tempting seat in business class that extends to an 80-inch lie-flat bed (for those of you wishing to turn those long-haul leg cramps and jet lag into well-rested limbs and a bright and shiny start to your vacation).
