10 Ways You Can See the World for Less

Many of us spend months, if not years, saving up for our travels; but often times, only visit one country per trip. With over 196 countries in the world, that’s a lot of ground to cover and a lot of money you’re spending in the process. So why not get the best bang for your buck and visit multiple countries in one trip? As a bit of an airfare geek, I study airline routes and airfares for fun (and now I make a living from it!). Below are ten of my favourite multi-stop fares that will leave you with a little extra pocket change to enjoy more things in destination.

Pearls of the Pacific

Flying from Vancouver to Australia and New Zealand? Take advantage of Air New Zealand’s extensive flight network and stop in two of the Pacific Ocean’s most stunning islands and two of the USA’s most coveted cities. First, Air Canada takes you to Los Angeles for shopping and star-gazing. Next up is the South Pacific hidden gem, the Cook Islands. Be awed by their natural beauty, then it’s onto must-see Sydney, to explore its iconic harbour and the wonders of Down Under. Your adventure continues on a direct flight to the City of Sails, Auckland. Honolulu is your grand finale; top up your tan on its famous beaches before heading back to Vancouver. We’ve booked this multi-stop airfare for as low as $1860—which is as incredible as this route’s destinations.

Samba through Central and South America

If it takes two to tango, it takes three to samba your way through Central and South America. Three cities, that is! Fly from Toronto to three dazzling and delightful destinations – San Salvador, Rio de Janeiro and Bogota. Your first stop, the modern El Salvador capital, welcomes you with wide boulevards and narrow streets, cultural institutions and natural splendour, with the San Salvador volcano as a stunning backdrop.  Then fly to sizzling and sexy Rio de Janeiro for the time of your life, from sun-drenched beaches to seductive nightlife. Head onwards to beautiful Bogota, Colombia, where you’ll love the amazing food, wine and culture. Loop back to San Salvador and homeward bound to the big smoke of Toronto. Priced as low as $1370, you’ll be dancing before this samba begins.

South-East Asian Sensation

Discover more, with four!  Get ready to have your passport inked with stops in four great Southeast Asian cities.  Like the stamps in your travel documents, this journey will be indelibly marked in your memory. Travel from Vancouver via Hong Kong, to one of our most popular destinations, Bangkok, where you’ll weave your way through temples and markets in the bustling Thai capital. Then, shop your way through sparkling Singapore, followed by a relaxing Bali getaway in an oceanfront villa. Finally, enjoy a stop in the futuristic metropolis of Hong Kong to discover why it’s one of Asia’s grandest destinations. You’ll fly world-class airline Cathay Pacific the whole way, except for the short jump from Singapore to Denpasar, Bali where KLM Royal Dutch Airlines transports you in style and comfort. If that wasn’t exciting enough; it’s possible to pay under $1500 for this amazing multi-stop airfare, including all taxes and fees.

The Emirates Explorer

Never think you’d be able to affordably visit 8 cities in 7 countries across the Middle East, South and South East Asia, and Australia, all on the same trip?  Think again!  With this Emirates Airlines multi-stop fare from Toronto, you can do just that, and on one of the world’s largest and best airlines.  From the coral atolls and luxurious over-water bungalows of the Maldives, to the larger island nation and former British colony of Sri Lanka (Ceylon), and onwards to the captivating metropolises of Bangkok, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong and finally, the spectacle that is Dubai, this airfare lets you see it all. Emirates will carry you in style every other step of the way, except for between Sydney and Melbourne. A Flight Centre consultant will easily book that portion of the trip for you. What is even better, is that this journey priced as little as $2880.

The Singapore Sling

First, Singapore Airlines slings you over to Hong Kong, which enthralls visitors with its mix of tradition and modernity. Hop over to Singapore for superlative shopping and then check beautiful Bali off your bucket-list.  You won’t want to miss fascinating Seoul while in this part of the world, so we’ve included that, too. This fare takes in the highlights of Asia with ease. Your Flight Centre consultant will help you plan your time to get the most out of each fascinating city.
