Top 5 Clubs in Punta Cana

Top 5 Clubs in Punta Cana

For those who want a vacation with a good dose of night time entertainment, look no further than Punta Cana. Situated where the Caribbean Sea caresses the Atlantic Ocean at the easternmost tip of the island, Punta Cana is home to beautiful resorts, most of which have their own on-site clubs featuring live entertainment, DJs and dancing. While DR is considered one of the safer places for tourists in the Caribbean, we recommend checking out clubs in Punta Cana that are resort-based (if anything for the quick stumble back to your room after a few drink rounds!)

While many Dominican resorts included in our Better Beach collection don’t feature nightclubs (for example, Nickelodeon and Zoetry) many do, and have been investigated by fun-loving Flighties who checked them out in the name of research (poor things, we know.)

Here are our top picks for clubs in Punta Cana.

 1. ORO Nightclub

Address: Boulevard Turístico del Este Km.28, Boulevard Turístico del Este 74, 23000, Dominican Republic

Exclusive and luxurious, ORO Nightclub is one of the top-rated clubs in not just the Dominican, but the Caribbean, and for good reason. Favourably located at the Hard Rock Punta Cana Hotel & Casino, international DJs and tourists alike flock to this sprawling two-level, 14,000 sq ft nightclub where parties go well into the night.

Boasting an award-winning sound system and high-tech lighting, as well as the first-ever infinity-edged bar, ORO is both sensory and sensual. Inspired by Las Vegas and Miami’s famous nightclubs while maintaining a distinct Dominican flair, if you’re making one stop for vibrant Punta Cana nightlife, let ORO be it.

2. Legacy Nightclub

Address: Calle Italia, Punta Cana 23000, Dominican Republic

Housed in the Bavaro Punta Cana Resort, the pulsating lights and Latin rhythms lure you in for a drink, but soon captivate you to stay longer. We suggest a siesta before you fiesta here, as it doesn’t open until 11 pm.

Enjoy a hookah and watch the crowd below from a lofty balcony, or get down and dirty on the dance floor to the beats of a DJ spinning everything from house music to hip hop, to local favourites. It’s a spot that makes you feel like you’re away on vacation somewhere exotic, as well as providing the familiarities of closer to home in this well-appointed Punta Cana nightclub.

3. Mangu Disco

Address: Avenida España 3, Punta Cana 23301, Dominican Republic

You don’t have to be a guest of the Hotel Occidental Grand Punta Cana Resort to access this nightclub, however, if you are, the cover is free. Not only does Mangu get accolades from trip critic sites, but it’s also a comfortable place for fun-loving tourists to have a drink in stylish surroundings with attentive service. Enjoy a mix of music, featuring Top 40 to popular Latin beats to enhance your vacation state of mind. Depending on which night you go, you may also expect local, live music and shows. The club is open daily from 11 pm to 2 am, entrance is permitted to adults only, with drinks included. It is intimate in size but offers large-scale entertainment.

4. Pearl Club Punta Cana

Address: Bávaro, Punta Cana, La Altagracia, Higüey 23000, Dominican Republic

Not all the clubs in Punta Cana come alive at night. If you’re looking for cocktails and music when the sun’s still out, check out Pearl Club Punta Cana. This gorgeous setting attracts a crowd that’s also easy on the eyes. Sleek design, sexy pools and a neutral colour palette are reminiscent of day clubs in Ibiza and Miami, but with a distinctly laid-back Caribbean vibe. Enjoy a mixologist-crafted cocktail as you dip your toes in the sand or pool and enjoy the warm ocean breeze in the shade of your cabana. Reserve a table at Pearl Club’s restaurant, featuring an international menu, for a well-rounded experience.

5.  Imagine Punta Cana

Av. Estados Unidos, Antiguo cruce carretera Coco Loco a Friusa, Punta Cana 23000, Dominican Republic

Also known as The Cave, this nightclub boasts the most unusual setting of any clubs in Punta Cana, precisely because it is set in an actual cave. Unlike the other clubs we recommend, Imagine is not located in a resort so it’s best to arrange transportation there in advance for both safety and convenience. Be mesmerized by pulsating lights and dance music reverberating from the natural, cavernous cave walls. Unique both acoustically and visually, for a club experience like no other when in the Dominican, do as the locals and tourists alike do and hit the Cave.

Even the most relaxing beach vacations need a bit of nocturnal fun. Talk to a Flight Centre expert about our collection of Better beach Dominican resorts to help you decide where to stay — and play.
