Our Top 10 Must-See’s at Disney World

Our Top 10 Must-See’s at Disney World

Disney Mickey Mouse with child

Did you ever see those Disney commercials where the parents surprise their kids with a Disney World Vacation, and the kids go completely crazy? This is the reaction you will always see when you are at Disneyworld. You can’t help having a smile on your face, and you will be surprised as to how quickly the kid inside breaks free.

Walt Disney World is made up of 4 giant theme parks, 2 water parks, a downtown Disney and over 19 resorts all within the property. Our Disney Specialist*, Jason Chow has put together some of the best things to do and his Top 10 ‘Must-Sees’ in the parks:

Cinderella at Disney parks

1. Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain™ attraction

This is an amazing high-speed roller coaster, with incredible twists and turns. You never know what is going to happen. Oh and be careful of the Yeti! This can be found in Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park.

2. Kilimanjaro Safaris® Expedition

Who needs to go to Africa in order to go on a Safari? This ride will take you into an open savanna for some up close views of amazing exotic animals. My favorite were the baby elephants playing in the water. Who knew that they had their very own built-in snorkel? This can be found in Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park.

3. Finding Nemo – The Musical, inspired by the Disney® Pixar film Finding Nemo

That’s right, Finding Nemo has now been made into a 30 minute live musical with giant puppets. The theatre was built for this show and it will make you feel like you were really under the sea. Enjoy the adventure with Nemo and his friends. This can be found in Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park.

4. Soarin’™ attraction

Ever wanted to know what it would be like to fly through the air on a hand glider? Soarin’ is a multisensory attraction that will show you how it really feels. You will literally by hanging from 40 feet in the air. You will even smell the oranges while flying over the Orange Groves. This can be found at Epcot® Theme Park.

5. IllumiNations:

Reflections of Earth – This is an amazing nightly show filled with pyrotechnics, lasers, fire and fountains. This award winning show depicts the history of earth and its people. This can be found at Epcot.

6. Pirates of the Caribbean® attraction

Ever wanted to meet Captain Jack Sparrow? Well he has now found a home at the Pirates of the Caribbean ride! Keep your eyes opened as you go through the ride and see if you can spot him. This can be found at Magic Kingdom® Theme Park.

7. Mad Tea Party

The Giant Tea Cup ride is a classic. This ride has been around for many years and there is a reason for it! It is fun fun fun. Give it a spin! This can be found at Magic Kingdom® Theme Park.

8. Dream-Along with Mickey

This live stage show is right in front of Cinderella’s Castle. There is singing and dancing, with Mickey and some of his friends! If you love Princesses, this is a must-see show. This can be found at Magic Kingdom® Theme Park.

9. Muppet*Vision 3-D, © attraction

Experience this 3D show, which combines a 3D movie with live action. This 13 minute trip through Muppet Labs will have you laughing and wanting more! This can be found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® Theme Park.

10. Fantasmic!

This is my number 1 recommendation. It is a 25 minute night show which features Mickey and many of his friends. Using laser lights, hydrotechnics, and pyros, it brings this show to life. It is one of the largest outdoor shows they have and people line up to see it. It only happens on certain nights, and there is only one per night. A little advice is to go at least an hour early to get a good seat (People line up early knowing that there is only one show!)

These are only a few of the highlights from each park. If you would like more information about Disney, or if you need help planning your Disney Vacation, please feel free to contact me.
