Sandals Emerald Bay: What Luxury is All About

Sandals Resort Emerald Bay Room

Not all luxury resorts are created equal, and Sandals Resorts will make all your previous experiences pale in comparison. Our Flightie Hitesh recently returned from a luxurious trip to multiple Sandals Resorts and recaps his highlights of the Sandals Emerald Bay with us:

I was recently invited to take part in a trip offered by Sandals Resorts in the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos. Being a very well travelled, all-inclusive vacationer, but never having been to a Sandals Resort, I could not wait to attend. In all my travels I have visited many  Caribbean destinations and have always  tried 4-5 star resorts that I believed to be worth the time and money. Although many of them seemed to be very exciting, well maintained and had led me to believe that they are premier resorts; I have now had the extreme pleasure of experiencing what true luxury is all about!

This trip highlighted three completely different versions of luxury Sandals Resort properties. From the first moment we arrived on day 1 to Exuma Bahamas and found our way to Sandals Emerald Bay, I could automatically feel the difference. We were greeted with a warm welcome and smiling faces that offered us a cold towel and a signature drink upon arrival. As we entered the lobby of the resort, It was hard not to notice that everyone within sight was smiling from ear to ear; staff and visitors alike. The decor of the resort was incredible, it didn’t feel like a resort I had ever visited.

As we progressed through our tour, my earlier thoughts were confirmed. This was not like any other all-inclusive I had ever been to; this resort was in a league of its own. From the staff at every area of the resort greeting us with a “good afternoon” and a smile, to the extremely clean rooms, restaurants, pools, and spas, this did not feel like a typical all inclusive resort, but rather like an first-class hotel with constant VIP service. Sandals Emerald Bay is the perfect destination for couples, honeymooners, or just two friends not looking for any offsite entertainment. This is the true relaxation lover’s paradise. With all suites offering butler services and ocean views, it yearns to have its beaches and pool sides utilized.

The beauty of this property does not end there! Not only is this haven of relaxation the perfect spot for you to kick back, it also boasts a Greg Norman designed Golf course that exudes brilliance and difficulty on the greens. PGA golfers have played on this course and while we had visited they were actually preparing for a PGA event to take place in the near future.

Golf not your cup of tea? This resort, like all other Sandals properties, offers the Red Lane Spa which is a small resort of its own at over 29000 square feet. From the moment you enter, the scent of mild citrus and coconut as well as lemon grass engulf your senses and you immediately begin to feel a sense of ease to the mind body and soul. There are many different treatments available and by the looks of the facility, the rooms, and the setting, I will be sure to take advantage of them the next time I am able to visit!

Sandals Emerald Bay Resort may not be for every all-inclusive traveller, but it is definitely for the person who yearns for a true vacation of serene settings and landscape. Someone who is truly in search of pampering, incredibly high levels of excellence in cuisine, and stunning accommodations with every possible amenity at your finger tips. I have travelled to many resorts over the years, and I was convinced I had seen it all. Apparently I had no clue what I was missing. I highly recommend this resort to anyone and I have faith that you will see its brilliance as I did and enjoy every moment of your vacation!
