TwestivalTO 2011

On March 24th, cities around the world participated in Twestival (Twitter Festival) which is an event that uses social media for social good by connecting communities offline in a single day to highlight a great cause.

Last night we attended TwestivalTO which raised money for The Remix Project. It was a fun night full of karaoke, dancing and great giveaways. We were delighted to discover that Canada was the TOP Country to raise money at Twestival events held around the world with a whopping C$63,819.18! Way to go Canada!

Our good friends Nat and Marie from BTJE hosted the #Twidol Karaoke challenge where people sang their hearts out for the title as the ‘TwestivalTO Twidol’ and a gift pack from us which included a $200 travel voucher. Big congratulations to our winner @Fragileheart who won the public’s vote with her rendition of  ‘Come to my Window’. Check out the video here.

Did you attend Twestival in your city? How did you like it?
