An Epic Journey To Make Wishes Come True

This summer, 18 Flight Centre employees will trek the wilds of Iceland for a good cause: granting wishes to six children with life-threatening illnesses through the Make A Wish Foundation. Our good friends at Chimp, came in to chat with us about the project and made this video to showcase the initiative and how we are using the platform Chimp to raise money for the cause.

“We’re a travel company, and obviously we love to travel. It really gets us going. So combining travel and fundraising just seemed like the perfect match.” – Jim Bjorkes, Flight Centre

Jim Bjorkes and his 17 colleagues at Flight Centre will trek the beautiful, yet challenging Landmannalaugar route across the Southern Highlands of Iceland through one of the most active volcanic areas in the world. Prior to embarking on this journey, each employee has pledged to raise $2,000 for Canada’s Make A Wish Foundation.
