Your 2017 Las Vegas Guide
You know who’s ready for 2017? Las Vegas, that’s who. No city parties harder than Sin City and with all the attractions, restaurants, clubs and shows, who can lay blame. Here, the party doesn’t just spill over to New Year’s Day, it’s a year-long deal.
If you haven’t been in a while, this may be the year to return. In keeping the party fresh, Vegas reinvents itself with new performers, hotels, bars and lounges regularly, and this year is no exception. Here’s what’s on tap for the upcoming year in America’s favourite playground.
Every year, some of the world’s biggest names in entertainment make Las Vegas their home, playing steadily to throngs of fans in some of the city’s most exclusive venues. Move over Celine Dion and Britney Spears, this year’s crop of new residencies are sure to pack the seats, offering a dynamic blend of entertainment with something for everyone. From top comedians to popular musical acts spanning numerous genres, here is what you can expect to be the hottest tickets on The Strip in 2017.

The closest Las Vegas came to hockey in the past was in hosting the annual NHL Awards, until now. The city’s brand new T-Mobile Arena will become the home-rink to National Hockey League’s newest expansion franchise, the Vegas Golden Knights, and in the process, marking Las Vegas’ first ever professional sports team.
Magic Mike Live!
Beginning in March, the Hard Rock will be turning into one big hen-night with some of the hottest male dancers around in Magic Mike Live. Relive the motion picture hit with some of your favourite dance numbers from the film as well as some brand new choreography.
New Cirque du Soleil
The world’s favourite circus returns with a brand new show. Toruk: The First Flight is an Avatar inspired performance packed with technically advanced visuals, design and choreography accompanied by creative costumes and a captivating cinematic score. In other words, more amazing Cirque du Soleil wizardry.
Award Shows Galore
Hosting the Billboard Music Awards, the Academy of Country Music Awards, the NHL Awards as well as the Latin Grammy Awards, Las Vegas will once again be the place to be to watch the stars take to the red carpet and collect their trophies.
New Far East Eats
From a MICHELIN-recommended noodle house (Katana-Ya at Bally’s) and Chef David Chang’s cutting edge Momofuku (at the Cosmopolitan) to ZUMA’s take on modern Japanese and five Asian-inspired restaurants at the brand new Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino, we’re sensing a bit of a theme.
Buckle-up for some of the country’s most anticipated music festivals, including the iHeart Radio Music Festival (T-Mobile Arena), the Electric Daisy Carnival (Las Vegas Motor Speedway), Life is Beautiful and Route 91 Harvest. Returning to The Strip for its 11th year is Bon Appetit’s delicious 4-day food and wine extravaganza, Vegas Uncork’d, and while we have your stomach’s attention, there’s even a Pizza Expo planned!
New Celebrity Chef
Restaurant: Impossible? Not in Las Vegas! Food Network star, Chef Robert Irvine, is poised to be the hot new fixture at the Tropicana as he unveils his first signature restaurant on The Strip, focusing on modern American-inspired fare. Make your reservations now.
