May Madness

Flight Centre receives numerous requests each month from registered charities at the local, regional and national level. In order to ensure we are supporting those organizations that most closely align with our company philosophy and values, we have created a set of guidelines which must be met in order to be considered.

The charity making the request for fund or in-kind donations must:

  • Align with our vision, purpose, company philosophies and values.
  • Be a registered charity within Canada.
  • Deal with the cause of the problem not the symptom.
  • Provide long term benefits.
  • Contribute to sustainable development within the community.
  • Actively support or strengthen our key communities or address the impacts on society.
  • Be non-political and non-religious.
  • Set specific goals, timelines and targets which are measured and reported.
  • Be ethical to all stakeholders and all transactions and interactions must be responsible to the community.

Every request that meets the guidelines listed above will be reviewed and assessed by the Charity/Sponsorship committee twice per year in December and May*. If you are interested in making a formal proposal, please provide your request in writing to the following email address:

charity.requests@flightcentre.ca

*Please note that due to the number of requests we receive, your organization will only be contacted if your proposal has been accepted.
