At Flight Centre, we go out of our way to find you the perfect trip at a great price. And with the passion and experience of over 8,000 consultants and support staff in 11 countries around the world, it's no surprise that we stand behind the holiday you book.
In fact, we will beat any airfare quote or you fly free**. Here are some frequently asked questions:

Q: What fares will Flight Centre price beat?

A: Our Lowest Airfare Guarantee applies to airfares that originate in/depart from Canada or the USA quoted in Canadian Dollars.

Q: Who will Flight Centre accept airfare quotes from?

A: Airlines, Other Canadian travel agencies, and Canadian registered businesses and websites. A Flight Centre agent will not beat fares found on the flightcentre.ca website or from another Flight Centre location, but will be happy to match those fares if available at time of booking.

Q: What does available mean?

A: The airfare must be available and able to be booked by the general public when you bring it to us. Furthermore the competitor must be able to ticket the itinerary at the price they present to the general public; the competitor must be able to generate a valid electronic ticket (e-ticket) for travel. Available means that for the identical airfare you have received a quote, it is currently saleable by Flight Centre and can be booked in the same booking class, for the same number of passengers, on the same date(s), at the same time(s) and on the same flight number(s). Failure of any of these above listed available terms will result in the denial of the Lowest Airfare Guarantee. Fares available due to membership of a group or corporate entity or subscription to a closed user group are excluded.

Q: What if I want to travel on a different date than on my original quote?

A: The price beat applies only for travel on the same dates, flights and times.

Q: When can I ask Flight Centre to price beat?

A: The onus is on the customer to request a Lowest Airfare Guarantee. Your airfare quote must be in writing and must be presented to us prior to booking. It must be clearly stated to our Flight Centre agent that you have found a price from a competitor and that you wish to apply for a Lowest Airfare Guarantee. The quote provided must be available to be booked at the time it is presented (refer to 'What does available mean' above). It does not apply to written quotes presented after booking and no refund would be given should a price drop after ticketing has been completed on the originally purchased fare.

Q: What if I want to use this price for my friends to book?

A: The quote must reflect the number of passengers looking to book as per the quote. Of course, if we can book everyone at the same low price we'll do so.

Q: Will Flight Centre beat quotes from foreign websites or for travel that originates outside Canada or the USA?

A: No. Departure must be from a Canadian or USA gateway. The quote must be from a Canadian registered business or airline directly. Quotes from USA websites or fares reflected in USD or other currencies will not be honored.

Please note:

If a website shows that part of the fare will be billed in USD, Flight Centre will only beat the Canadian portion of the LAG quote. For travel originating in the USA and billed directly with an airline website, Flight Centre is not responsible for any currency exchange on the clients credit card.

Q: What happens if Flight Centre beats the price I have been quoted?

A: If the qualifying criteria are met we will beat your airfare quote by $1 and issue you a twenty ($20) dollar voucher for future travel.

Please note:

If you are paying by credit card then you will be charged the regular fare and we will refund you the difference including the $1 price beat by company cheque.

Q: Does every traveller listed on the initial airfare quote qualify for the $20 voucher?

A: Every adult and child (aged 2 years and over) will be provided with a $20 voucher. Infant tickets do not qualify for the $20 voucher, unless you are purchasing a seat and paying the regular child rate.

Q: Can I use the $20 voucher on my current booking that my consultant is price beating?

A: No, the voucher can only be used for future travel booked in any Canadian Flight Centre store within eighteen (18) months from the date of issue. On redemption only one voucher per passenger may be used per booking. Vouchers are non-transferable.

Q: Can I use the $20 voucher as payment towards a new Lowest Airfare Guarantee that I present to my Flight Centre consultant?

A: Yes. The voucher is good for payment on another Lowest Airfare Guarantee. Your agent will still beat the presented quote by $1, and you will receive a new $20 voucher for future travel.

Q: Can I redeem my $20 voucher online on Flightcentre.ca?

A: No, you can only redeem your voucher for future travel in a Canadian Flight Centre store.

Q: What happens if I have already booked and then find a cheaper price for the same flight but I have not paid in full?

A: Flight Centre will only price beat when your quote is presented to us prior to booking and receipting any payment. Your Flight Centre consultant will be happy to rebook on the cheaper fare if it is possible & available at the time you are travelling. Cancellation or change fees will apply to your original booking.

Q: What if my Flight Centre consultant is unable to beat the airfare I have been quoted?

A: Your consultant will do everything they can to beat the airfare you have been quoted. If the qualifying criteria are met we will beat that price by $1 and issue you with a $20 voucher. If the qualifying criteria are met and your consultant does not beat your quoted price you will receive your flight free of charge. Q: What if my Flight Centre consultant advises me the price is no longer valid or that Flight Centre does not have the same space available as the quote I provided?

A: Your Flight Centre consultant will review the quote in a timely fashion for validity. If it is determined that the fare for the same dates, times and flight numbers is no longer available for sale on the website or travel agency provided at the same cost, you will be provided with our Lowest Airfare Guarantee declined letter. If it is determined that the booking class used by the website or travel agency is not available for booking through Flight Centre systems, you will be provided with our Lowest Airfare Guarantee declined letter. It will be our pleasure to quote you alternative travel options for the best possible rate outside of the terms and conditions of the Lowest Airfare Guarantee.

Q: How do I get my free flight if Flight Centre is required to beat my airfare quote and doesn't?

A: If the qualifying criteria are met and your consultant does not beat your quoted price you will receive your flight free of charge. Should this apply to you, or if you have others concerns, please contact the Customer Relations Department as follows:

Q: When can I use my free flight?

A: The free flight applies only to the booking you are currently requesting Flight Centre to beat.

Q: Who books and pays for the free flight?

A: We will book and pay for your free flight which will be identical to the one you have asked us to price beat.

Q: Can I be reimbursed for a flight I have booked?

A: No. We do not reimburse you for flights you have purchased elsewhere, nor do we provide you with cash or vouchers to the value of the flight we were asked to price beat.

Q: Can I use my free flight for my friends and/or family??

A: No. We will only book and pay for those travelers that were noted and/or included in the original written airfare quote.

Q: When do I need to claim my free flight?

A: You must make your free flight claim prior to flying or within one (1) business day of your quote not being beaten (whichever occurs first).

**Conditions

These terms and conditions are in addition to and not exclusive of the terms and conditions contained in any Flight Centre print or online advertisement. Collectively the terms and conditions on any print or online advertising and these terms and conditions apply to "The Lowest Airfare Guarantee" and the "Fly Free" offer.
The Lowest Airfare Guarantee applies to point to point air bookings only and excludes flight passes, cruise, rail passes, vehicle rentals, all inclusive holiday packages, hotels and travel insurance. The quoted airfare must be from the same supplier, for the exact same product with the same travel dates and the same fare, same flight class, rules, regulations and pricing restrictions and must be presented at a Flight Centre retail location in Canada. Quoted prices must include all of the appropriate taxes and surcharges assessed by the airline or supplier in Canadian dollars. The Flight Centre agent will verify all of these conditions to determine if the fare is still available at the time it is presented to us.
The Lowest Airfare Guarantee will only apply to quotes supplied from Canadian Registered businesses and/or scheduled airline websites directly. Canadian Registered business is defined as holding a Canadian address, phone number, GST number and registered on the Industry Canada database NUANS. The business must also be accredited with the provincial travel regulations befitting travel agencies where applicable.
Our Lowest Airfare Guarantee does not apply to advertising errors or misprints, coupons, vouchers, Air Miles or aeroplan offerings, group fares, wholesaler fares, consolidator fares, government fares, bereavement fares, military fares, corporate fares, fares included in a package holiday, fares where the carrier or itinerary details are unknown until after the purchase or bookings made on the Flightcentre.ca website. Fares available due to membership of a group or corporate entity or subscription to a closed group are excluded. Additional restrictions may apply and all terms and conditions must be satisfied.
The "Fly Free" offer applies only where all "Lowest Airfare Guarantee" criteria are met but Flight Centre does not beat the quoted price in accordance with its policy and these terms and conditions. Invoicing which demonstrates the $1 discount has been applied and signed by the client, but a refund cheque has not been issued in error by our Flight Centre agent does not constitute a "Fly Free". You will be provided a $1 cheque refund as a result of a billing error. You must make your free flight claim prior to flying or within one (1) business day of your quote not being beaten (whichever occurs first). The free flight will be booked and paid for by us and will be identical to the one you have asked us to price beat for the same travelers listed on the airfare quote. We do not reimburse customers for flights they have purchased elsewhere, nor do we provide them with cash or vouchers to the value of the flight we were asked to price beat. The Flight Shops, Inc. DBA Flight Centre is the final authority on interpretation of these rules and the application thereof to any specific situation. The terms and conditions of the Lowest Airfare Guarantee are subject to change or termination without notice.
