Find your Inner Peace at the Blue Lagoon

When many people think of Iceland, the Blue Lagoon is often the first thing that pops into their mind.  It is after all, one of the most visited attractions in the country. If you’re looking for an extremely relaxing getaway where you can receive the ultimate spa pampering in a natural setting, than the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa is something you want to add to your bucket list.

Dip into the warm waters that are rich in minerals like silica and sulphur and are known to cure skin diseases such as psoriasis. It won’t take long before you channel your inner peace and start to feel like a new person.  From as little as 33 Euros to as much as 171 Euros, you can choose your own getaway depending on the services you wish to experience.  From a relaxing massage using massage oil that contains Blue Lagoon active ingredients and essential oils to silica massage for back and legs to facials, manicures, pedicures and more!

Take advantage of the saunas and steam room also included in all daily passes.  Whether you are there alone or on a romantic or group retreat, the Blue Lagoon has something for everyone!  The Blue Lagoon Exclusive Lounge is the perfect place groups of up to 12 or couples on any occasion.  Perhaps you’re looking for a great place to propose, a honeymoon treat, family reunion or anniversary.  Whichever your situation may be, the Executive Lounge will add that special touch to your spa experience.

After spending some time soaking in the lagoon, you can wash yourself off in the shower area, which provides top quality shampoo, conditioner and body wash for your use.

Hungry or thirsty? The Blue Lagoon offers a range of yummy beverage and dinning options.  Indulge in a gourmet meal at the LAVA Restaurant or grab a quick bit at the Blue Cafe.  There’s a little something to satisfy any craving.

The only downside about the Blue Lagoon is that you won’t want to leave!  After all, it has everything you need to live a happy and peaceful life.  However, I don’t think the staff would appreciate you camping out in the lounge overnight.   However, you don’t have to leave the spa at the end of the day empty handed.  There is Blue Lagoon Skin Care Shop offers products to treats you from head to toe made from the natural ingredients originated from the Blue Lagoon.  So, you can take a piece of the Blue Lagoon back home with you.

After a relaxing day at the spa, where can you retreat to end your wonderfully relaxing day?  Only a 10-minute walk from the spa is the Blue Lagoon Clinic Hotel.  Did I mention that if you book a night at the hotel, your admission to the spa is complimentary?!  If you have left the Blue Lagoon and retreated to the hotel, but suddenly feel a longing to be back in those warm waters, have no fear!  The hotel also offers its own private bathing lagoon for guests.
