It’s settled. You’re really going to your dream destination! French cafes, coral reefs, spice markets here you come. But to make the most of your trip, designing a tailor-made holiday is key.

Most pre-made vacation packages will limit you to select flights and travel dates. And booking only your flights and hotel can leave you spending most of your travel time arguing about what to do rather than enjoying yourself.

But with a tailor-made holiday, every detail of your experience is organized just for you. Even if you’re not sure exactly what you’re looking for, our Expert Travellers have an uncanny knack for finding the perfect experiences for your travel style. You might call us know-it-alls.

Take a look at some of the tailor-made holidays we’ve dreamed up for New Delhi, Paris, and the Cook Islands & South Pacific.

8 Nights in New Delhi

Delhi
Delhi
Delhi

You can’t avoid the crowds, but you can beat the heat! The morning 12002 Express train from New Delhi Railway Station will take you to Agra to see the Taj Mahal blush in the morning light.

Try hiring a private boat from the banks of the Yamuna river to get a unique perspective (and a better chance of a tourist-free photo). Then circle back around to enjoy wandering through the gardens and marbled rooms at your own pace. Make sure you leave enough time to explore the Agra Fort and its striking red sandstone.

Head back to Delhi to visit a younger architectural marvel, Lotus Temple. The Bahá’í house of worship looks exactly as its name suggests. It’s a welcoming place for all, and it makes for a meaningful location to practice meditation. Just 15 clicks away is the picturesque India Gate, which makes for a lovely stop en route to Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial.

After you’ve had a chance to catch your breath, dive right into Chandni Chowk. Overwhelming in the best ways, it is the market in the middle of Old Delhi. Full of spices, fabrics, jewellery, and street food stalls, it may be one of the most crowded places on earth. But if you can embrace the tumult, it could become one of your favourite destinations.

7 Nights in Paris

Paris
Paris
Paris

Paris’ Hotel Montecristo is impeccably placed in the Latin Quarter, just walking distance from Luxembourg Palace and Jardin Des Plantes. Shake off that airplane fog with therapeutic massages at your request, rejuvenating trips to the sauna, and quiet dips in an indoor lap pool. In the morning, enjoy your petit dejeuner in your bathrobe and slippers, while the city of love wakes up to a new day. Then, slip on your walking shoes and explore everything Fifth Arrondissement has to offer.

There’s no need to shy away from the Louvre. Opt for a guided tour to get the insider stories behind world-famous masterpieces and the lesser-known (relatively speaking!) jewels of art history.

Expert Traveller Tip: “When in Paris, I highly recommend seeing the Musee De L’Orangerie as an addition or alternative to The Louvre. It is less touristy, has a GORGEOUS Monet exhibit, and lots of other spectacular contemporary works. Access is included in the Paris City Pass.” (Lauren O’Brien of Toronto)

For a magical evening, cruise down the Seine after the stars come out to play. Paris illuminated by moonlight… there’s nothing like it.

18 Nights in the Cook Islands, New Zealand & Australia

Cook Islands

Cook Islands

Start your South Pacific odyssey with a stay in Sydney’s Little Albion Guest House, a convent turned boutique home away from home for the fashionable city explorers. For unique lunch plans in the city, try a water taxi picnic! Snap photos of that iconic skyline as you bob along Sydney Harbour. Then stop to enjoy a gourmet picnic and a glass of something sparkling.

Once you’ve had your fill of Sydney, hop over to Auckland to explore the gorgeous vineyards, olive groves, and beaches of Waiheke Island. Then zip along to New Zealand’s capital and stay in the heart of the city at The QT Wellington. Artsy, sophisticated, and not afraid to be a little absurd, it’s the cool side of Wellywood’s pillow.

If the words “private lagoon view villa” don’t mean anything to you, allow us to provide the perfect definition: Sea Change Villas in Rarotonga. Imagine an oversized villa for two, filled with scents of frangipani wafting in from open windows. Explore the Cook Islands at your own pace, but don’t miss out on an easy cycle down Aro Metua, guided by the captivating stories of your host.
