The Resort Life In Panama with Transat Holidays
If you’re looking for a little fun in the sun at an affordable rate in a destination other than Cuba and Mexico, then consider Panama!
Transat Holidays introduced a handful of new destinations this winter including Panama. The Royal Decameron Golf Beach and Villas Panama is part of their Sun Savvy collection and offers an all-inclusive package at a great value, along with a congenial atmosphere, intimate surroundings and family-friendly attitude. This 4-star resort is located 2 hours from Tocuman International Airport along Playa Farallon and attracts mainly families and older couples giving it a very laid back, comfortable and quieter atmosphere.
Included in your package are 8 pools, 10 restaurants and 11 bars (including two poolside pools) for you to enjoy. On top of that, there is a fitness room with an ocean view, several water activities to try out, games room, golf course, night club, performance stage and dance, aerobic, and stretching classes. There is also a beach hut where you can experience one of the best messages you’ll ever have. This service comes at an extra cost but is well worth it.
The resort is extremely lush with some of the most beautiful trees you will ever see along with no shortage of large iguanas running around.
If you are looking for a relaxation vacation spot, but still want to experience the culture and traditions of the place you’re visiting, the Royal Decameron offers day excursions. A couple favourites are:
Visiting the Embera Indigenous Community
The Embera Tribe originally came from ancient Great Colombia over 300 years ago and settled mainly in the Darien jungle. On this tour, you get to experience the culture of these indigenous people by taking a boat ride to a local community located in the Chagres National Park. Here, you will have a chance to wander around the community, play with the kids, check out the traditional Embera crafts and enjoy a delicious lunch.
Aerial Tram, Gatun Explorer & Panama City tour
On this tour, you will get to take a ride through the Gamboa Rainforest, 118 feet above the ground on an Aerial Tram. If you’re lucky, you may be able to spot sloths, monkeys, coatis, toucans and more! You will also get a chance to witness a wonderful view of Lake Gatun, which forms a major part of the Panama Canal. Speaking of the Panama Canal, no trip to Panama is complete without seeing it first hand! During this tour, you will also get the chance to experience this eighth wonder of the world from the best perspective imaginable – a boat!
