WestJet Airlines amends carry-on baggage allowance

What set WestJet Airlines apart from other North American carriers in terms of baggage policy is about to come to an end, when WestJet passengers will no longer be allowed to carry-on 2 pieces of luggage.

The standard carry-on policy of 1 bag and 1 personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop, infant diaper bag, etc) will take effect on April 4, 2013 and put WestJet in line with the industry norm.

All carry-on items will still need to meet the current size and weight restrictions and any items over and beyond the new allowance will need to be carried as checked baggage.
