Editor's Note: This article was updated Sep 4, 2018, to reflect the most up-to-date residencies in Las Vegas for 2019.

Each year, Sin City announces its upcoming residencies that fill its clubs and concert halls all year long, and this year, it isn’t just lounge acts, pop stars and DJs that will get the crowds going. If you’ve got a trip planned or are looking for a reason to head to Las Vegas in 2018 and beyond, here is what you can expect.

Best Las Vegas Residencies of 2018

Blink 182 (The Palms – Pearl Concert Theatre)

The latest addition to the party scene is the neo-punk trio, Blink 182. Far from the conventional Vegas act, expect the Grammy nominated California rockers to blow the roof off The Palms with their energetic brand of rock n’ roll.

Lady Gaga (MGM’s Park Theatre)

Starting later this year, Lady Gaga is due to perform 74 soon-to-be sold out shows at the Park Theatre, with each show paying the 6-time Grammy Award-winner and chameleon superstar a whopping one million dollars. Shows start December 2018 with dates announced soon.

Celine Dion (Caesars)

Canada’s heavenly voice is back in town with her show, Celine, continuing her impressive residency at Caesars. Currently, the best-selling female artist in history is booked through 2019, performing 6 days per week. Ultimate VIP Packages and Platinum Tickets available here.

Gwen Stefani (Planet Hollywood – Zappos Theatre)

Gwen says she's Just a Girl, but she’s raking it in with the big boys headlining Zappos Theatre in Planet Hollywood. Her residency will take her through to 2019 and proceeds from each ticket sold will be donated to the non-profit Cure 4 the Kids Foundation, helping children with life threatening diseases. Tickets June 2018 – March 2019 are currently available.

Mariah Carey (Caesars)

Gracing the stage at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace for her The Butterfly Returns show is Mariah Carey. Fresh off her 2-year residency that grossed an estimated $23 million, Mariah’s soaring vocals are on full display five nights per week. Get your tickets here!

Jennifer Lopez (Planet Hollywood)

All I Have, J. Lo’s extravagant stage show, features a 5-piece live band and 14 dancers, state-of-the-art sets and hit after hit from her illustrious career. Final shows are now on sale through to the end of September, 2018.

Calvin Harris (Hakkasan Nightclub)

If you’re still searching for the ultimate Labour Day Weekend party, get your dancing butt down to Hakkasan Nightclub for a night with the world’s top-earning, and (arguably) most notorious DJ, Calvin Harris. Tickets and VIP tables are still available!

The Chainsmokers (Wynn Las Vegas)

Working tirelessly through their 3-year residency at the Wynn Social, DJ duo The Chainsmokers throw-down almost nightly alongside other world-class acts, like Major Lazer, David Guetta, Marshmello, Diplo, and others. Check the Events Calendar for tickets and details.

Las Vegas Pool Party Guide

If you prefer your good times under the hot Nevada sun, welcome to the pool party capital of the world! Grab the sunscreen, a cabana with bottle service and our guide to the Best Las Vegas Pool Parties for inspiration, and get dancing. Water wings might not be a bad idea, too.

What’s on tap for 2019?

There is no doubt that MGM's Park Theatre will be packed with plenty of stars in 2019.

Fresh from her break after a 5-year stint at Planet Hollywood, Britney Spears is coming back! In addition, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Cher are all slated to perform at MGM’s entertainment complex for another bonkers year of outstanding shows in 2019.

The latest talent to sign on is America's bad boys of rock, Aerosmith, bringing their arsenal of chart-topping hits to the masses. As the year unfolds, many more are sure to be added to The Strip's ever-changing landscape of parties and residencies. Stay tuned!

New Las Vegas Attractions

Las Vegas Basketball

The Vegas Golden Knights of the NHL are so last year – but what a year it was! Against all odds, the team from the desert made it to the Stanley Cup Finals in their inaugural season, showing the world just how ready Las Vegas is to own a professional sports team. Well, now they’ve got another one.

The spring of 2018 will bring the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) to the Mandalay Bay Events Center, as the sparkling-new Las Vegas Aces lace ‘em up to become the city's second major league sports team.

On the men’s side, NBA Summer League takes over Las Vegas each July for weeks of action in a dazzling tournament that’s getting bigger every year. Tickets are affordable and your chances of rubbing shoulders with NBA stars, whether at a game or a casino, increase greatly.

Fly LINQ

Downtown Las Vegas has the Slotzilla Zip Line on Fremont Street, a massive zip line drawing thousands daily, and now The Strip is getting one too.

For anyone staying at any of the big-hitters later this year, keep it on The Strip and make your way over to Fly LINQ at the LINQ Outdoor Promenade. Climb the 122-foot tower (12 stories) to zoom at over 50kms per hour over concerts, restaurant, bars and shops - Superman-style. Slated to open late 2018.

New Las Vegas Restaurants

Hell’s Kitchen

Complete with the flaming HK logo fronting the restaurant as seen on the TV show of the same name, Gordon Ramsey’s Hell’s Kitchen is now accepting reservations.

Ramsey’s fifth restaurant in Vegas needs no introduction and has been a busy attraction since it opened earlier this year. In familiar fashion, expect some shouting between kitchen staff after Ramsey himself (virtually) greets you at the entrance. Hell’s Kitchen is in front of Caesars Palace.

Osteria Costa

Move over, Restaurant Portofino! The Mirage is shutting down the once acclaimed dinner hot spot, Portofino, and replacing another long-time favourite (Samba Brazilian Steakhouse) with a brand-new offering, giving Chef Michael LaPlaca the reins again in a new location.

Osteria Costa will focus on Amalfi coast favourites; homemade pasts, fresh seafood and freshly baked pizzas in a bright and spacious dining room punctuated by an open kitchen. Mangia, mangia!

Spago’s Grand Re-opening

It’s been a good run for Wolfgang Puck and his now iconic Spago restaurant. After occupying a spot in the Forum Shops at Caesars for over a quarter of a century, Spago is moving to a new prime location in the retail area of the Bellagio, complete with views of the famous Bellagio Fountains.

A grand re-opening is in the plans for later this summer.

There’s no city in the world that reinvents itself each year like Las Vegas does. As you can see, if you’ve been to Las Vegas in the past few years, it’s clearly time to go again. Meet you there!
