Travel Insurance Coverage

What Our Travel Insurance Covers

How to choose travel insurance that best suits you depends on how far you're going. If you're travelling domestically within Canada, we can offer you travel insurance coverage for things like trip cancellations or delays, event cancellations, lost, stolen or delayed luggage, lost or stolen travel documents, rental car excess and even personal liability and loss of income.

If you're travelling internationally, we can offer you more travel insurance coverage for all of this, plus things like overseas medical, emergency dental costs and even pet care.

If you travel often, you can also opt for a convenient Annual Multi-trip plan.

Our travel insurance guide below will help you choose which type of travel insurance is right for you.

Exclusions and Limitations

Understand What’s Not Covered

It's important to know the travel insurance coverage of your policy to ensure you have a level of  cover to suit your individual needs. If you have a pre-existing medical condition that is not automatically covered, you can apply for additional cover at the time you buy your policy or within your cooling off period by completing a medical screening. Refer to Product Disclosure Statement for specifics on pre-existing medical conditions and what is already covered.

As long as you haven't made a claim, used any of the policy benefits, or started your trip, we'll give you a full refund of your premium. For further information on cancellations, please refer to the PDS.

All claims are assessed within 10 business days after they have been received, provided all required documents have been received. If we have not received all of the required supporting documents, more information may be requested.
