Sunwing Carry-On Baggage

On all Sunwing flights from Canada, passengers are allowed one carry-on item and one personal item onboard free of charge. Carry-ons may be an overnight bag or backpack and personal items may be a purse, messenger bag, or laptop bag. Parents and guardians travelling with infants (between 8 days old and 2 years old) may bring a diaper bag onboard in addition to their individual carry-on allowance.

Carry-ons must weigh below 5 kg and dimensions must measure between 23 cm x 40 cm x 51 cm (9" x 16" x 20") including wheels and handles. Carry-ons that weigh more or exceed the dimensions will have to be checked in and will be charged for excess baggage fees.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

Sunwing Vacations packages and Sunwing Vacations cruise packages (both excluding the U.S.) are permitted one free checked bag. Otherwise, checked baggage on flights within Canada, to and from the U.S. (excluding cruise packages), to and from Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America are $25 + $1.25 GST per direction. (Pre-purchase your baggage allowance and save $5!)

Elite Plus passengers are permitted one free checked bag with Sunwing Vacations packages and Sunwing Vacations cruise packages (both excluding the U.S.).

WEIGHT & DIMENSIONS

On all flights, Sunwing luggage in Economy class must weigh below 23 kg (50 lbs) and measure no more than 158 cm (62"), which is length + width + height combined.

If you purchased the Elite Plus option, your checked baggage is allowed to weigh up to 30 kg (65 lbs) but must stay within the same dimensions under 158 cm (62"), which is length + width + height combined.

OVERSIZE FEES

Overweight/oversized baggage may not exceed the maximum weight of 32 kg (70 lbs) or dimensions of 292 cm (115"), which is length + width + height combined.

EXCESS BAGGAGE FEES

On all flights, any additional or excess baggage will be an extra fee, per direction.
