5 Reasons to Get Married at the Paradisus Cancun

Thinking about a destination wedding? Flight Centre Weddings and Groups Specialist Krista Thibodeau recently had the opportunity to experience the magic of Mexico. She shares 5 reasons why you should consider getting married or renewing your vows at the Paradisus Cancun

Natural Beauty

Upon your first step into the resort you will be overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of the main lobby. With hundreds of feet of living vines falling down from the ceiling, over the balconies and almost to the floor, you’ll feel like you’re in a scene from The Jungle Book.

The bright green and fresh living foliage throughout the hotel makes for an immediate tropical escape the moment you take it all in. The landscaping on the resort is incredible with beautiful white Cancun sand, turquoise waters and perfectly manicured gardens; it is absolutely picturesque.

Ceremonies

PARADISUS EVENING CEREMONY

Not only does the Paradisus Cancun cater to all wedding styles, from Gay and Lesbian to traditional Hindu ceremonies, but they are also masters at creating a  small and Intimate setting. There are several wedding packages to choose from, like the Tailor Made, which includes 6 Spa vouchers for the bridal party to enjoy the day before, background instrumental music throughout the ceremony and reception, and a 2 tier cake. There is also a choice of decoration themes, including Fantasy and Aqua, that can really add to your big day and make it as extravagant or dreamy as you want. You can also choose to take the more subtle approach with the Chill Out Chic package, which has more of a rustic vibe for a more intimate party.

With a variety of breathtaking wedding locations, you can have it your way at Paradisus Cancun. The ocean front gazebo is a hot spot for a beautiful, intimate wedding, with waves crashing behind you and the ocean as your own personal backdrop.

Attention to Detail

Imagine walking down the aisle at your evening wedding, with small candles lighting the way as you walk down the path that leads to the next chapter of your life. A background violinist softly plays your song as your guests anticipate the exchange of your vows. Rose petals are on all the chairs for guests to toss and celebrate as you walk away. And if that’s not enough, you will have a signature drink created for your guests to enjoy during your cocktail hour while the the 3 piece band warms up to play at your outdoor reception.

The centrepieces are hand made and so colourful and lush. Every shrimp, lamb chop, steak and noodle are handled with love and care and the chef’s creations are to die for.

If this hasn’t sold you, consider the fact that they have aromatherapy throughout the hotel and each area has a different refreshing scent!

Food

I am a breakfast junkie and a cold pressed juice addict. I was stopped in my tracks when I saw the breakfast buffet at the Paradisius; the options were endless!! I enjoyed a few of my favourite breakfast staples like bacon and eggs, fresh crepes with syrup and fresh fruit.

The food was fresh, hot and well stocked and the bread was baked in house. At the cold pressed juice bar they will juice anything you want right there with no questions asked! And if juice isn’t your thing, they will make delicious smoothies for you as well.

The People

I feel as though you can have a nice time anywhere as long as you are with the right people and the Paradisus absolutely has the right people. Smiling faces and friendly hellos everywhere are you go. The Wedding Coordinators are experts at what they do. They are professionally trained people that have a real passion for their work and for making sure that your big day goes off without without a hitch… well, maybe one 😉
