Buckle-up! Canada’s flagship carrier has just introduced their plans for next year’s summer season, as well as a couple of enhancements to currently operated routes.
Starting early June 2018, you could be lounging on the shores of Romania’s Black Sea, Croatia’s azure Adriatic and Dalmatian Coast or exploring two of Portugal’s acclaimed cities via direct Air Canada service from Eastern Canadian hubs, Toronto and Montreal.
All service will be seasonal, operating late spring to early fall, and will be handled by Air Canada Rouge aboard Boeing B767-300 aircraft. Canada has recently lifted visa restrictions on Romanian visitors, making for reciprocal visa-free travel between the two countries.
Air Canada’s New Summer 2018 Destinations
Air Canada Rouge will operate four-times weekly service between June 2 and October 6, 2018.
Toronto to Bucharest
Air Canada Rouge will operate twice-weekly service beginning June 3 and ending October 7, 2018.
Toronto to Porto
Air Canada Rouge will operate four-times weekly service between June 8 and October 26, 2018.
Montreal to Bucharest
Air Canada Rouge will operate twice-weekly service starting June 7 until October 4, 2018.
Montreal to Lisbon
Air Canada Rouge will operate three-times weekly service commencing June 15 and finishing October 26, 2018.
In addition to the airline’s new destinations above, upgraded service is planned on the following existing routes:
Montreal to Casablanca
As of June 1, 2018, Air Canada Rouge flights to Casablanca, Morocco, will be replaced by Air Canada’s mainline service aboard Air Canada’s Airbus A330, offering three classes of service.
Toronto to Buenos Aires
As of May 2, 2018, Air Canada will operate a non-stop, year-round flight between Toronto and the Argentine capital, rather than the current flight from Toronto to Buenos Aires, via Santiago, Chile. (Non-stop flights to Santiago from Toronto will continue but service between Santiago and Buenos Aires will be cancelled)
Montreal to Lima
Air Canada’s new flight from Montreal to Lima, Peru, (beginning this December) will now operate year-round, instead of seasonally as originally announced.
Air Canada has already introduced several new routes for the summer of 2018, including Vancouver to Paris, Vancouver to Zurich, Toronto to Shannon, Montreal to Tokyo and Montreal to Dublin. Their new service to Melbourne from Vancouver, starting this December, has also been changed from seasonal to year-round.
All new routes are on sale now! Get planning early and book Air Canada’s low introductory fares, starting at $622 between Montreal and Lima, $799 between Toronto and Porto and $899 to Bucharest from Toronto or Montreal.
