Infographic: The Longest Flights in the World

It’s no secret that air travel has made visiting far-off destinations much more accessible. But if you’re like us, the flight is where the real adventure begins! Many of our Airfare Experts have taken some of the longest flights in the world, and chances are, you may have too!

Currently the world’s longest direct flight by distance is held by Qantas who flies their Boeing 747-400 under the code QF7 and is approximately 15 hours from Sydney to Dallas Fort Worth in America. When it comes to time spent in the air, Delta Air Lines holds the current record with a 16-hour and 55-minute journey from Johannesburg to Atlanta on their Boeing 777-200LR . This flight also comes in as number two on the longest flight by distance. Since we love talking about airfare, we’ve put together an infographic to round out the top five:
